"I cannot overstate how beautiful this Domo was in person; the view was absolutely spectacular, the bed was comfortable and we were delighted to have a warm shower.Carlos and his son Arón went above and beyond as hosts, providing a personal check-in, outstanding recommendations for local places to eat and activities, and were so kind as to help mail a package of something I forgot in the Domo.The beach was delightful with with local fishermen and places to get snacks. It was not touristy at all, and very Serene. Everyone was so friendly. We would not recommend walking down to the beach from the Domo, as the path could be treacherous being loose rock. However, it was a quick 1-minute drive down to the beach.We highly recommend doing a bioluminescence tour with Bahia Rica adventures, arranged through Carlos. The Curú Nature Preserve was just down the road and the Laguna julieta trail was one of our favorite nature experiences of Costa Rica. Thank you for our favorite stay in Costa Rica Carlos! We would definitely be back and would absolutely book any property through Carlos again. Seem good"

"The location was perfect — with easy access to Curú Park, Santa Teresa, and Montezuma. Cóbano was just a few minutes away, offering great supermarkets and an ATM, which made things very convenient. The resort itself was beautiful, well‑kept, and thoughtfully landscaped. The pool was magnificent; we swam multiple times a day, including refreshing evening swims. Staff members Emy and Andrea were wonderful — welcoming, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay. Food at the hotel was delicious, and breakfast was included, which was a great touch. We also loved discovering a few local sodas within walking distance — each one was amazing and added to the authentic experience. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Tambor Tropical offers a blend of comfort, hospitality, and easy access to nearby adventures that makes it a standout choice in the area."

"The views from the higher rise building are exceptional especially river view from the 5th floor. We loved breakfast and pool time here - stayed two nights and didn’t leave the resort! Some party noises on the Sat night and into the wee hours but expected given we are on holiday! "
