Good location, maximised available rentable accomm
Long walk from town centre. Converted & extended large bungalow. Our accommodation was in wooden outbuildings. bathroom fully functional, but not best executed. Host Juan was very accommodating and helpful with local information, however may have been a little intrusive. Our room room was in one of the wooden outhouses, where the owners have maximised the available space, possibly to the detriment of the guests. The room was outside the main building. It was adequate, but compact. The bathroom was small and attached to the neighbouring room's bathroom, which was noisy and obtrusive.

Very comfortable with great views
The hotel is more like a B&B, is a house that has been changed to receive guests. Nevertheless the room was spacious and nice. It is located next to the lake so the views are impressive and the service was awesome. Do not expect fancy rooms or technology but a great getaway experience

Hotel is close to the beach and quiet.
Our experience was not totally satisfactory, in spite of the efforts of its owner to make everything agreeable. One disadvantage is the parking, and the heating was sparse.

Great stay, too bad only for 1 night!
My wife and I stayed with Flor Diaz at Canales del Sur for the last night of a 10 day trip to Southern Chile. Wis we had planned more time there! While Puerto Varas is a tourist town at the higher end of income bracket (i.e. not quaint), the inn is at the far southern end of town away from the large hotels and casino. As such, walking the lake pathway and the ambiance was much nicer than staying in the center of tourism. We were there in late spring so I can only imagine how crazy it becomes in town in the summer.

Great place to stay
Excellent place to stay with your family or couple. Nice people, place and sorrounding. Breakfast is great and everything is doing by owners, a very nice couple and family that always are ready to resolve whatever you need, Something that for me was not important but for someones probably is, this is more a B&B than a hotel, Some rooms don´t have private bathroom some others have it. But definitely a really nice place to stay.

Great guest house in Puerto Varas
We really enjoyed our stay at Canales del Sur. The location was wonderful for us as it was a nice 1/2 hour walk to town via the lakefront, and was far enough from the center of activity for us to relax and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening on their beautiful sunporch after a day of exploring. The accomodations were very clean and comfortable, and the host family was welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. Breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were always ready to help make any phone calls or arrangements we needed as well as recommendations of places to go and things to see in the area. I recommend this guest house to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in Puerta Varas that is much more personal than staying in a big hotel.

Quedé bastante decepcionado de mi estadía, por el valor pagado esperaba mucho más, definitivamente no volvería alojar ahí. Lo único que valoro es que la ubicación era buena, aunque jamás vi desde las ventanas el lago como prometía la reserva.

Estimado SergioLas habitaciones de la casa no tienen un destino exclusive para un determinado tipo de clientes.No hay para niños especialmente. Fumar en recintos cerrados está prohibido por ley.Y en nuestra casa de madera,cuanto más.Pero hay personas que no respetan las normas.El estacionamiento está junto a las dependencies.El ruido es inevitable.Lamento sus inconvenientes.

Leider werden keine Kreditkarten akzeptiert. Gleich bei der Ankunft wird man aufgefordert, entweder bar zu bezahlen oder per Sofortüberweisung. Auch B&B wird nicht angeboten; kein Frühstück. Das Bad ist spärlich ausgestattet (nur Flüssigseife), keine Ablagen, dafür aber einen Haarfön. Licht funktioniert nur zur Hälfe. Lage fussläufig zur Stadt, Haus sehr laut (Holzbauweise ohne Dämmung). Zimmer soweit ok, innerhalb des Familenhauses. Parkplatz vorhanden, aber insgesamt bei vielen Gästen eng.

Estimado Horst,cuando llegó, le expliquè que nuestra maquina de transbank estaba con problemas, u esoerabamis cambio desde la compañía. Ud sabía que venía a una casa de familia.Y una casa típico del Sur de Chile de madera.Por lo cual creo que es ruidosa la madera siempre.El estacionamiento es,seguro y protegido.Pero siendo mi casa,no es un gran espacio.Lamento ,que cómo me advirtió su esposa,ud sería muy "cuadrado"...y quería todo perfecto.Tratamos de brindar lo mejor que podemos en nuestra casa.Saludos a ambos.

No se porqué se califica de hotel, es una hermoso hostal, no había personal para recibirnos, no había mas pasajeros, el Sr muy atento, la habitacion estaba sin asear, ni habia confort en sanitario, el último dia cortaron la cafefacion a la 08:00 mucho antes del check out

Me senti em casa
A hospedagem foi ótima. Nota 8 em 10. Juan e Flor são ótimos anfitriões e a cachorrinha Susu é uma lindeza. O hotel está um pouco afastado do centro, o que traz silêncio para os hóspedes. O café da manhã poderia ser um pouco mais caprichado, com frutas e suco natural. O manuseio dos alimentos também precisa ser mais profissional. Adoramos a hospedagem e recomendamos.

Hotel Canales del Sur
Pousada pequena, de administração familiar. Ambiente agradável, porém o quarto que ficamos (Tepu, separado da casa principal) era um pouco apertado, não havendo espaço o suficiente para abrir as malas. O banheiro também era um pouco apertado e o chuveiro não funcionava bem - vinha água quente por uns 3 minutos, depois ficava gelada e demorava uns 5 minutos para voltar a esquentar (era necessário desligar e sair do box). A cama era bem gostosa! Havia uma área comum com cafeiteira, frigobar e microondas bastante útil. Wifi não funcionava bem no nosso quarto. Café da manhã simples e gostoso. A casa é muito bem decorada, aconchegante e de frente para o lago, mas fica a uns 3km do centrinho.

Te sientes como en casa pero no es tu casa...
Mi primera experiencia en un B&B. En general fue buena. Me equivoque al no esperar la confirmación de Expedia... Entonces solo nos pusieron dar una habitación con 2 camas individuales. No estuvo mal... La casa bellísimas, muy limpio y ordenado todo! Los dueños muy amables y cariñosos. El desayuno esta bien. En relación precio calidad lo vale!

El hotel esta bien ubicado, tiene bonitos jardines y en general el hotel esta razonablemente limpio y el dueño tiene un trato cordial. Es atendido por sus propios dueños, lo cual lo hace más cálido pero es a la vez un arma de doble filo ya que a veces no se hace un trabajo profesional para la atención de huéspedes haciéndote sentir como que te hacen un favor. Me despertó un ratón que corría por el entretecho las últimas 2 noches y encontramos un par de arañas en las habitaciones. El hotel esta bien, solo requiere tal vez un trato más profesional y más atención a cosas elementales como tener papel higiénico de buena calidad en los baños y en suficiente cuantía.

Hostal limpio pero complicado para estacionar
Hostal en casa familiar. Limpio y bonita decoración. Pero el piso de madera hace que el ruido de los pisos superiores interrupa el descanso. Frente a nuestra habitación hay un escritorio donde el hijo juega videojuegos todo el día (poca privacidad). La cantidad de estacionamientos es menor al numero de habitaciones. Complicado para salir ya que autos bloquean el estacionamiento.

Pésima opcion
Termine yéndome del lugar. No cumplieron con la pieza matrimonial solicitada, los estacionamientos son pésimos( no caben los autos y quedan tapados por los que llegan después). La"cabaña" es ridículamente chica fría y cuenta con un espacio de cocina compartido con otra "cabaña". No tenían ni toallas ni papel higiénico dentro de la pieza y tuve que ir a buscarlos a la recepción. El aislamiento del ruido es malo y la Sra. Que nos atendió fue muy poco amable, no así su esposo Don Juan Antonio. Finalmente decir : "es lo que hay" no es una buena respuesta a un cliente que demuestra su disconformidad, sobretodo cuando no se cumple con lo que fue solicitado.

Totalmente recomendable
Está ubicado en una cima, a 5 minutos caminando desde la plaza de armas de Puerto Varas, cuenta con una piscina climatizada en el séptimo piso con vista al lago. La habitación 206 es muy amplia y tiene una vista de pared a pared al lago. El restaurante además es muy bueno. Te regalan una copa de vino de bienvenida, que acompañamos con una tabla de sushi, muy sabroso. El desayuno buffet muy completo.

Stedte å overnatte i Puerto Varas.
Jeg kan anbefale dette overnattingsstedet for alle som skal til Puerto Varas. Super service og hyggelige rom. Vertene er vennlige og pratsomme. Det å bo på en B&B gir en helt annerledes og mer personlig ferieopplevelse enn å bo på hotell. Neste gang du skal til Puerto Varas er dette stedet du skal ovenatte.

Un muy buen hostal en relacion al precio, algo alejado del centro de puerto varas, atendido por sus propios dueños, muy amables y calidos.le falta una terraza para descansar un rato, especialmente en estos calurosos dias de verano, las habitaciones del segundo piso se hacen especialmente incomodas por el calor. El resto muy adecuado

Localização excelente
Os donos nos recebem acolhedoramente e nos deixam à vontade e confortáveis. O hotel é perto de tudo, de frente para o lago, com ótimos restaurantes a pouca distância e charmoso com seus jardins floridos. O café da manhã era simples, mas sempre fresco, com pão quentinho, suco. Estava gostoso e tivemos a sorte de dividir a mesa com um simpatissíssimo casal argentino, viajantes como nós e excelentes para trocas de conhecimentos. Recebemos orientações/sugestões ótimas de passeios a fazer, com mapas, distâncias e dicas extras. Tudo estava muito limpo. conheciam nosso direito de estrangeiro de não sermos cobrados do imposto. Foi o melhor local dessa nossa aventura de carro pela região dos lagos.

No tiene nada de hotel, es una casa grande en la cual se habilitaron piezas para recibir alojados. El sauna y jacuzzi se encontraban fuera de uso. La pieza muy pequeña, con las comodidades mínimas. Excesivamente ruidosa, al usarse el cálifont en otras piezas se producía un ruido muy fuerte, no controlable. Desayuno básico, nada especial Atención poco atenta Para la tarifa cobrada hay alternativas superiores en la zona. Distante app. 2 Km. del centro (casino de Puerto Varas)
