"VERY clean property. All as advertised, just note that Casa Iguana is the apartment above the second house at the back of the property. Very nice owners, they leave on the ground floor below and are full of “spot on” advices for activities in the region. Amazing howler monkeys came to eat the papaya tree leaves in front of our balcony, such a stunning experience. Proximity to Samara beach and the small but quiet patio over the natural reserve are definitely the highlights of this rental!"

"When we arrived at Finca Lucky we didn't receive the confirmation email for the key. It was very stressful, as this made me distrustful. We had to ask the neighbors for the phone number of the owner's contact. The house was a mess. The sheets were thrown on the bed. The curtains were not put up. We had to clean everything ourselves. The internet is terrible, it doesn't work well. There are no televisions. I didn't see any maintenance done to the pool. We stayed for 8 days and they didn't have...

"Situated in the mountains, the house is on a 25 hectare teak farm. The hosts were gracious and kind, he helped with our car and took us to the magical waterfall swim hole near by. The house itself is beautiful and can be totally great, our only wish was that felt a little more lived in. "This property is worth the drive. Stunning property with superior hospitality. Had a wonderful deep tissue massage. Room was large, beautiful, comfortable, with lovely shower. Only thing that made me crazy was the light emitted from the ac unit. I like a very dark room to sleep and lots of light emitted from items in the room. Otherwise, perfect stay! Infinity pool was beyond gorgeous. I stayed there all day as it’s not chlorinated. Simply beautiful people and property! "

"This property was everything we expected. The in-house chef with breakfast every morning was amazing. It was such a treat! She stays in her own place and you don't even notice she's there but she appears with a wonderful breakfast at your preferred time. We even paid extra for her to make dinner the night we arrived which was absolutely delicious. The ocean view here has spoiled me. You can also see it from 3 of the bedrooms. The only thing we wished for was access to the beach from this property. There is a big cliff with large rocks so you have to go down the road a bit to get down to the ocean. We used the pool every day. The air-conditioned bedrooms were fabulous for those hot days. The house also has backup power for times the electricity went out which was very convenient. The host was very communicative and responsive. We could not have asked for a better stay! Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed "

"The villa is so much nicer than the photos. The table outside the kitchen on the patio was our favorite place in the villa. It seats more than 10 and the view of the ocean is incredible. You get a nice morning breeze to have your coffee and just enjoy your surroundings. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and never felt crowded with all the bedrooms and sitting areas. The pool was used every day and night and has the same views of the ocean. Jenny and Alex were beyond amazing, they make you feel like you’re part of the family. They are so helpful and will go the extra mile to help/please your every need. They are a big reason we may book the villa again. "

"We were two families visiting from the US. The property worked perfect for us. We spent all of our time at the pool and veranda. We saw tons of wildlife by the pool. The restaurants, market, and beach were all walkable and delightful. This place is a private slice of paradise. Would definitely book again. "

Would Definitely Go Back!!!

"Cannot say enough great things about our stay. It is the best VRBO property we've stayed at on an all-around basis. Great communication and help from the owner, Ana and Freddy are fantastic, the home is beautiful and perfect for 8-10 people, and Costa Rica is beautiful. Staying here you get to experience more of the local towns than you would staying at a resort. Do not hesitate booking a stay during the rainy season. There's still plenty to do (sometimes more fun in the rain), and still plenty of sunshine for the beach or pool. The cooler temps are also nice, but it was never too cold to get in the water. Last time we came to Costa Rica it was in the "summer" season and at a resort. This trip was all-around the better trip! Can't say enough good things about Ana and Freddy. She makes delicious meals, and took the time to talk and answer all of our questions about the local towns and the country to help teach us about Costa Rica. Freddy is like a ninja working in the background sweeping up, cleaning up, or grilling, while Ana takes care of everything else. They feel like part of the family by the time you leave, and you'll want to come back and visit them! If we get a chance to go back to Costa Rica, we would definitely stay at this house again (as long as Ana and Freddy are still there)!"

Great location for small study abroad group

"The house was perfect for our small study abroad course (1 professor), 7 students. Everyone had their own bed but all but one student (and the professor) shared a room. The upstairs apartment has its own sitting area and kitchen too. Kitchen was great for breakfast and dinner so not having to eat out every meal saved us . Pool was clean and free Netflix for movies in the evening. The property manager David was super helpful getting activities organized after our course was done. "
