This property was perfect for a group of girlfriends with plenty of private and common space. The deck was perfect for happy hour. Hosts were kind and helpful.
Our book club stayed on this property for our annual retreat, and all agreed that it’s the best place we’ve ever stayed! The kitchen is well stocked with quality cooking accommodations, the beds were cozy, and the home was clean and welcoming. We’ll definitely book this house again in the future!
Our family had a wonderful time while staying at the Hillside Hideaway. It's a beautiful area, and there was plenty of room for six adults and two children. The home was lovely and clean, the kitchen well stocked for those of us who like to cook. The management company gave clear instructions and great customer service!
A group of friends and I recently stayed at Hillside Hideaway for our annual reunion trip. The location and accommodations were wonderful. It provided an excellent base camp for heading out on adventures at the resort or in other nearby locales. And it was a wonderful relaxing place (with hot tub and sauna) with beautiful views to kickback and relax. The property management staff were responsive to questions and provided excellent guidance as we were preparing for the trip. Highly recommend!
Location of home was heavenly! House was well stocked and had every comfort of home available. Check in was a breeze and they even had pumpkin bread waiting for us. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is there were no king beds, only queens and twin. I would Highly recommend upgrading to at least one king bed. We will definitely be back!
Had a wonderful family vacation in Sundance. There were mountain views all around and the sound of the stream made it a peaceful setting. Very close to restaurants and hiking trails. We enjoyed sitting out on the spacious deck area and lounging in the hot tub after a fun hike to Stewart’s Falls.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
We loved the Stewart Mountain lodging group that handled all of the details of our visit. They were terrific. Highly recommend them actually handled the specifics of the property during our visit everything was perfect.
Had a wonder stay at the hillside cottage. We loved that there was plenty of seating and lounging. The property manager was so helpful when we had questions. Loved it!
We had a great experience staying here. It was so clean and was so stocked with so many amenities. The communication was great between me & the host. We had no issues. 10/10 recommend

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
First, the Pros: This is the 4th cabin we've rented on this same road at Sundance. It's location is AMAZING! We love it there no matter what time of year. The views, the peacefulness, proximity to both Sundance and Provo/Orem are all great benefits. This cabin parks 2 vehicles and comfortably sleeps 6-10 people depending on age. As my wife describes it, it is very cozy. The loft is super fun for the kids. The wood-burning fireplace is a great feature as well. The Negatives - unfortunately, this was not our best stay at Sundance. The automated emails from the property management company make arrival and check out super easy, but if actually need something from them, they are easy to get ahold of but terrible at follow through. Not a deal breaker, just kind of annoying. The cabin is in need of some love. The deck railing is falling off, spiders throughout the cabin, the kitchen is not well appointed at all, and the water in the hot tub was very dirty. But the coup de grace was the rash. 4 of us woke up the first morning to very unpleasant rashes all over. I'm not going to make any assertions about the cause without solid evidence, but it was not good.So sadly, while we will certainly come back to this area and even this exact road again, we likely would not return to this specific property.
The cabin was comfortable and nice. The pictures did the cabin justice. The driveway was very steep. Make sure you have 4-wheel drive, chains and good tread on your tires.
The only thing that would make this stay a bit more comfortable if they added one to two king size beds. Great location and beautiful scenery.
Fun time with 3 so e, daughter in law and two grandsons. Sundance is a beautiful location, peaceful and lovely. The home is comfortable and well situated. Wrap around deck was so much fu. For the kids and the adults lived the hot tub. Kitchen is small but well stocked, with plenty of small appliances, dishes, pans and accessories. I look forward to out next stay!

Stewart Property Managment put us in a PERFECT house
Vicki steered us Perfectly. They have a lot of properties to choose from and she was the consummate professional and Extremely nice. The property was in great condition and the home was stocked with all of the goodies you would expect from a professionally managed property (down to the dog biscuit for our dog) We will use this company again FOR SURE and I am highly confident in recommending Stewart Mgm in Sundance!!

absolutely awesome.
Perfect week getaway for family summer vacation. We have a 16 yo son and 12 yo daughter. We did stuff during the day and were at the house in the evening. Best way I can sum it up...we never went out for a single breakfast or dinner the whole week. Why would you? big kitchen , living room, grill...we took the downstairs big bedroom as the master, gave our daughter the foldout in the other downstairs, and let our son have the upstairs BR. Worked out well since the TV was in the downstairs BR. Loved the close distance to sundance, to the national forest, to the trailhead for Timp and Stewart Falls. Middle of nowhere but you are 15 minutes from Orem and grocery stores, etc. Again- perfect week.
The proximity to Sundance resort is obviously super convenient. Non-skiers would drop the rest of us off and pick us up. The best part of house is the big living space which we enjoyed in the evenings. For those of you that can't completely disconnect from work there's a table off of the kitchen where you can set an leave your laptop. Large foyer with a slate floor so you don't feel guilty about dragging some snow and water into the house. The property manager stressed needing four wheel drive which I assumed was a blanket recommendation for the area. However, the driveway, while short is steep and uphill and icy from being driven over. I made the mistake of driving to the top when we arrived. Our rented Suburban slide down the driveway out of our control when leaving the next morning. From that point on, I parked at the end of the driveway, which was less treacherous pulling out but walking up was still an issue. A trash can of salt and sand was delivered during our stay which was a big help. There is firewood and fire starters provided for the large fireplace but we didn't have any luck getting the wood to burn. Probably the most proactive property managers I've had the experience to work with, in terms of communications, which really took away a lot of the stress of traveling. We try to get out to Sundance every year and would definitely consider staying here again.

Not the best we have stayed at...
My family of 5 stayed at Hillside Hideaway for 9 days over the July 4th holiday. We have stayed in many vacation rental cabins in Sundance and Park City areas over the years, and this cabin would rate, unfortunately, as our least liked. Because I always do extensive research on my vacations (and vacation rentals) before booking, I appreciate honest reviews and so I will give one here. There were aspects of this cabin that worked well, and other areas that need improvement.
Location- it is hard to beat. It is just a short 5 minute walk to Sundance resort thru mostly a lovely path along the river. The cabin is on a private street with little traffic (the time we were there, a home was being built up the road so much more traffic than usual I would suspect). However, there are other cabins surrounding this cabin on two sides, so you are not as secluded as the photos may indicate. The driveway is VERY steep but you can park two cars there.
The Cabin itself was of a good size for our family. The main great room had good furnishings, lovely fireplace and nice large flat screen TV with satellite (only 1 TV in the cabin). Kitchen was small, but it was well stocked. Bathrooms, although functional, needed updating. Lots of windows throughout the cabin. Vicki and Brad responded quickly to minor issues-they were great!
Outside Space: Lots of decking space with well kept hot tub (which we used at night-great star gazing), plenty of sitting areas and we loved the rocking chairs and new grill. Loved all the foliage.
What We DID NOT Like:
1. Bugs/Insects inside the cabin. We know when we rent a cabin in the woods, there are going to be some bugs, we have rented many cabins as I have said. This cabin had a TON of bugs in it. Each morning I would have to vacuum up bugs off the floor of the downstairs bath and bedroom, there were that many. Upstairs, there were also many types of insects crawling around. Needed are screens on the two patio sliders that dont have them. Truly though, this cabin needs pest control measures.
2. NO window coverings in the master bedroom OR BATH! Photos on the rental website clearly show window coverings, but there were none. That is just really unacceptable when the largest MBRM window faces the street and the other, another cabin next to it. YOU NEED WINDOW COVERINGS.
With these items corrected, we would certainly recommend this cabin.
This place exceeded all of our expectations, very relaxing environment and close to outdoor activities that we enjoyed. We forgot some items and realized upon arrival and the property owners were more than happy to deliver what we needed. We plan to stay with Stewart Mountain Lodging again in the future.
The property managers were very helpful and outgoing in making us feel comfortable staying there. The house was perfect and was just the right space for us to gather with enough space for everyone to be able to retreat. Close proximity to Sundance resort and to nearby trails. (I am hesitant to write too good a review because I want it to be available the next time that we want to stay there! Ha!)
