"Host, Salvos, was a real asset. We had a dreadful start to our holiday with a five hour flight delay and as a result our car hire vehicles were rented out to others. Salvos helped us - a party of eight - get to the villa. Nothing was too much trouble. He loaned us his car so we could do a supermarket shop. He was the perfect host. "Such a gorgeous, elegant and luxurious hotel – new and modern but also tasteful and classic, and even better than we had expected. The location is incredible, directly across the road from the steps down to Spiaggia di Cala Rossa, and the option for paid valet parking made it so easy to arrive/check in/check out. Ortigia is small so everything is very walkable after arrival, and we felt like we had the best possible location in town – right on the water but so close to everything. Our room was so comfortable and cool, with views across to the sea – it’s clever to have the window raised above eye level so there’s privacy but also beautiful natural light and the view. All the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a stunning aperitivo in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. Overall, Maniace Boutique Hotel is up there with some of the loveliest modern five-star hotels we’ve stayed at around the world."
