When is the best time to go to Primrose?

The best time to visit Primrose, Gauteng, is during the dry winter months, from May to September, or the shoulder seasons of April and October. During the winter, the weather is generally mild and sunny, with low humidity and very little rain. Daytime temperatures are pleasant, typically ranging from 15°C to 22°C, making it ideal for exploring the area and enjoying outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer. Evenings can be cool, so a light jacket or jumper is advisable. This period is particularly good for those looking for comfortable conditions for sightseeing and day trips around Gauteng. The shoulder months of April and October also offer good conditions. April still enjoys warm, sunny days before the full onset of winter, and October sees the return of warmer temperatures and occasional afternoon thundershowers, which can be quite refreshing.

"Absolutely loved my stay here. I visited South Africa for a conference, which was held at Birchwood. The team are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would go as far as to say it was some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced at a hotel in years. The complex is peaceful and beautiful, and the rooms are large. The restaurant is great, food was fantastic, and the support we received for the conference was exceptional. I’d definitely stay at Birchwood again if u return to South Africa"

City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport

10/10 Excellent

"Room was clean, staff was helpful, great restaurant and bar."

Southern Sun O.R Tambo

8/10 Good

"The rooms were clean but a bit worn, with the essential amenitites (but no hairdryer, for example). The location is excellent with every 15 minute shuttle to and from load / unload areas of the airport, which is a 5 minute ride. The restaurant offers a buffet dinner (and individual dinners as well), which was quite adequate for an overnight stay. Others sommented that th room service was well done, but we did not try it. Staff was helpful and pleasant."

@Sandton Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I liked my room and the views! I was on the 19th floor, and it was beautiful up there! I like the fact that the room had a microwave and other amenities that were useful for a comfortable stay. And the staff? Very professional and helpful. Also enjoyed the breakfast options. Overall my stay was great and wished I had booked more days. But I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Johannesburg again, because I appreciated the location also"

InterContinental Johannesburg O.R Tambo Airport by IHG
