Koh Russey Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Koh Russey Resort was a highlight of my stay in Cambodia. From the moment I was picked up at the mainland lounge to arriving by private boat at the resort’s private jetty, the service felt seamless and very special. The island itself has a beautiful rustic charm and I loved how natural and low key everything feels. It’s the perfect place to slow down, breathe out, and reset away from the hustle and bustle. The villas are spacious and thoughtfully designed, blending nicely into the landscape. This was the ideal way to finish a whirlwind two weeks travelling through Cambodia and I would absolutely return. Perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful island escape rather than a busy beach destination."

RIVA Hotel SHV
2/10 Terrible
"This was booked for 4 nights by mistake as I searched for Koh Rong. When I realised on the morning of arrival they wouldn’t refund any of my money. I thought they it would have been fair just to pay for one night but I had to pay for all 4. Not pleased "

Kactus Your Island Sanctuary In Cambodia
6/10 Okay
"Getting to the island involved catching the dedicated boat anchored offshore. Prepare to get wet! The journey was over an hour but with great views of Koh Ta Kiev island and others. We were welcomed by volunteers and Giovanni gave us a brief on arrival. We were shown to our accommodation which was just off the beach. The hut was on stilts and featured fairly comfortable beds with much needed mosquito nets, a balcony facing the sea, and complementary water. The activities on offer were varied and interesting, but some were not available when we were there. Loved the yoga rooms, art room and the library. The beach is long and deserted, and if you litter-pick your way along it entitles you to a free drink! There is only one boat a day to and from Kactus so it's remote but has intermittent wi-fi. The bathroom/toilet was shared but could have done with a better lock on the door! No hot showers but not much of a problem. It's a rustic experience so don't expect luxury. Fabulous sunsets in store, but also possible food poisoning if you're unlucky. No medical facilities so bring supplies. Be prepared to make friends or enjoy the solitude - whatever floats your boat!"
