    Van Vliet Lake is a 230 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 20 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

Wonderful property with all the amenities. View is amazing, lake is crystal clear, beds are comfortable and the living space is large. Nice big area to park vehicles with a turn around for boat trailers. Would definitely recommend, we have been coming here 2 years in a row planning on a 3rd reservation.

Good AC to stay cool, room to park 2 trucks with boat trailers, nice deck, good hot water, good wifi, electricity available from the shed can get down to the dock to charge trolling motors if you have an extension cord. Overall great cabin and would definitely rent again, thanks!

Great stay

The layout of the house was great for a larger group. The kitchen was adequately supplied for cooking. The decor is very nice with a definite Northwoods feel. Beds were comfortable. The deck was great. The entrance to the basement was great and had great storage for fishing gear. If we come back to the area, we would stay here again.

Great place for family time!

Took the family for a peaceful vacation to spend time together. We enjoyed the views and the fire pit held a nice fire every night. The house is as pictured and was comfortable. The kayak’s were a bonus and the kids enjoyed them. Would stay again. It was a little drive to get anywhere but it was a beautiful drive and we visited several lakes and even went to Lake Superior. What a beautiful area! We wanted seclusion so having a 15-20 minute drive was no big deal. We lioved the Up North atmosphere.

Assessment of our stay

On the second day a thunderstorm came through and knocked out the internet for the remainder of our stay. This was problematic for one person in our party who needed to stay connected with work. The bathtub drain is plugged. Unable to locate anyone to help us with this. Aside from these two issues, the property was great with a fantastic view. Loved the space, the privacy and the location. Hope to come back next year

This cabin is more than the description. Location is great, view from the deck is not captured by photos. Fishing on Presque Isle was tough if you are a first timer. Cabin was clean and spacious. Had 4 boats on a fishing trip, they all fit on the dock. Small open garage near the lake was great to put extra poles and tackle. Bring extension cords to power boats because there isn’t power by the dock. Wifi was not good because it made you sign in every time you left the property. Signal was great but leaving the network was annoying. 5/5 would recommend

Presque isle lake fishing trip

Every year (since 1989), my college buddies and I get together for fishing, friendship and fires. We need a place that can accommodate 6-8 adult men, with several loud snorers needing their own room. This place was prefect for that. As fisherman, we had three boats and the dock was able to fit all three comfortably. Note, when launching use the northern launch in the park on bay View road. It is paved. The southern launch that is close by, is not and does not have a lot of room to leave a vehicle and trailer (room for 2 or 3). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Probably need more living room recliners...only two and they were popular with our group. Bed were comfortable enough. Outdoors...the firepit was nice and large. There is only a charcoal grill, but we made it work. We will be back.

My husband and I rented this home with our daughter son in-law and grandchildren. We stayed for the week for a winter trip to snowmobile and ice fish on the lake. The kids were so excited to stay in bunk room. The house is so comfortable from the beds to living room and kitchen. We had the best time of fun and relaxation. We had a few questions after we arrived and vacasa was so kind and helpful. We are definitely planning to rent this property again in the future but would also use vacasa to plan another family vacation. We made great memories in this vacation home. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
