Quiet French countryside relaxing

Beautiful little property in the quiet village of Préguillac. Not far to the coast and an hour drive from La Rochelle and Bordeaux with lots of beautiful Vineyards to visit in between, and a 10 minute drive to Saintes with lots of restaurants and bars, as well as good shopping. Brilliant and welcoming hosts with cute dogs, will miss breakfast and coffee by the pool in the mornings.

Excellent week away

Wonderful hosts that were unobtrusive but on hand when needed for help and advice. The pool is beautiful to relax in and by, located in a tranquil a garden setting. I would highly recommend the property as either a one or two night stopover when going further into France or as a base for a longer stay to explore the larger cognac region.

The Perfect Sightseeing Base

A most wonderful base to share with our generous and accommodating hosts, Richard and Marie. They helped advise on where to go and what to see, but also gave us plenty of space to just relax and be. An idyllic spot with a beautiful pool and garden, which was a treasure to come back to after our days out exploring the region. It was simply a perfect holiday for us both - thank you!

La douce France

We really enjoyed this week in early July. Great appartement in beautiful garden and very comfortable pool. The owners are very charming and hospitable and made us feel very welcome and made this week a great memory. I can strongly recommend a stay with them in Preguillac.

Good break, quiet location

The hosts are lovely and were on hand to welcome us. We had originally booked to stay 3 nights, but we needed to leave early. Breakfast is left out in the morning - croissants, orange juice, breadstick, jam and bread for making toast. We would have liked access to the kitchen. The bed is very comfy, although the room was a little warm. The bathroom is great, a fab shower and plenty of space. The kitchenette area was unlocked late afternoon and there’s a fridge available to use at any time. The pool is a good size, look out for the cushions to use with the two loungers as we didn’t see them on the first day and spent a few hours just with a towel on them which we’d taken. There’s also the opportunity to clean the pool which can be quite therapeutic as the machine doesn’t seem to catch all the bits. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. A car is needed to explore the area and we travelled to Royan which was lovely.

Un petit paradis (si ce n'est les moustiques-tigre).Richard et son épouse sont des hôtes formidables, discrets, affables et serviables, toujours aux petits soins pour que le séjour se déroule le mieux possible !Nous avions pourtant été un peu décontenancés par le principe de la cuisine d'été (pas clair dans l'annonce, à corriger peut-être?), séparée du reste de la location par des espaces privés.Mais au final nous nous sommes vites adaptés, mis très à l'aise par le couple propriétaire qui nous a sauvés des moustiques ou d'un barbecue avorté. ;-)La batisse est très jolie, dans une minuscule rue sans quasi aucun passage, une piscine très grande et suffisamment de transats et parasols, un parc arboré fort complet et vaste, une chambre très correcte (matelas ok, mi-ferme), salle de bain un peu exiguë mais suffisante, et donc un bel espace extérieur pour les repas, il ne manque vraiment pas grand chose comme accessoire dans la cuisine d'été.Pas mal de bons restos aux alentours, boulangerie et petite épicerie/maraicher à 5km.Il ne manquait que des grillons à la place des moustiques !Très joli havre de paix, bravo à vous deux et merci pour les discussions jamais intrusives et fort sympathiques !

Cadre remarquable, au calme, et pleins de charmes. Hôtes aux petits soins, discrets et généreux en conseils pour notre séjour. Malgré la canicule nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour , nous rafraichir dans la piscine et dormir au frais. A savoir La disposition des espaces mis à disposition : chambre et cuisine d'été sont séparés (pas attenant).

Ruhig und sehr erholsam, wie es sein sollte.

Wir waren Im Juni für 10 Tage dort. Der Empfang durch die (sehr netten und unaufdringlichen) Eigentümer, die auch dort wohnen, war sehr herzlich.Der Pool Stand uns zur alleinigen Benutzung zur Verfügung. Auch der große Garten konnte von uns mit genutzt werden.Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war sehr gut, alles sauber und gepflegt.Bei der Beschreibung gab es einen kleinen Abzug, da die aufgeführte Waschmaschine leider nicht vorhanden war.Insgesamt können wir dieses Objekt uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Excellent choix

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et accueillants. Une grande piscine chauffée entourée d'un magnifique jardin, le calme absolu et la campagne environnante vous apportent détente et sérénité. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Magnifique!

Le domaine est encore plus fleurie et agréable que sur les photos et les hôtes sont vraiment adorable. On a eu l'occasion de visiter les environs et de faire des activités amusante (Kayak, accrobranche, karting...) ainsi que de profiter du canapé et de la piscine dans un cadre vraiment magnifique. C'était une superbe semaine !

Un sejour excellent! Tout etait formidable, la maison, la chambre, l'acceuil, le jardin

Richard et Marie sont des hôtes incomparables. En même temps communicatifs et discrets, d' une amabilité incroyable. Les petits-déjeuners à demande etaient delicieux. Très bon séjour

C'est l'espace extérieur qui nous a vraiment séduit: terrasse couverte agréable pour se reposer et déjeuner, vaste jardin paysager, et une très grande piscine, le tout dans un environnement très calme. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants. Le seul point inattendu fut que l'espace terrasse et cuisine n'est pas attenant à l'espace nuit et on passe de l'un à l'autre par le jardin sur une dizaine de mètres. Dans la pratique cela n'a pas été un point gênant.

Parfait séjour en amoureux

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour dans cette propriété. L'accueil a été parfait. La piscine, juste pour nous, est superbe et nous en avons bien profité. Le petit déjeuner est également très agréable servi au bord de la piscine. Tout a été fait pour nous ressourcer pendant 4 nuits. Merci à nos hôtes.
