The cabin was nice and clean and had everything you would need for a stay. Sarah was a great host. she even allowed us to borrow her bear spray. Thank You Sarah. Jack and I had a great time.
My two-week stay at the Schoolhouse Cabin in Pray, Montana, was pure bliss. Nestled among trees with gorgeous views and a soothing creek nearby, it’s a serene escape. Sarah, the attentive owner, has beautifully refurbished this spotless cabin, making it feel like home. The well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches like a lighted makeup mirror were delightful surprises. Plenty of towels and cozy vibes added to the charm. Larissa’s warm assistance made everything perfect. This hidden gem is a must-stay—I’ve never slept better!
Sarah's properties are our secret little getaway - love the quaint cabins she rebuilt, the views, the porch to hang out with a cup of joe, and privacy to actually get away - all while being about a mile from Chico! Thanks again Sarah!
The Schoolhouse Cabin was an absolute delight! It is located off the beaten path, a bit remote, quiet and peaceful with a stream running through the back of the property. It was also spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our week exploring Yellowstone. The owner was a great help in working out our plans. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Sarah’s School House is a very impressive and well-appointed sanctuary. Sarah greeted us upon our arrival and gave us some amazing tips for visiting Yellowstone park and surrounding hikes. The School House is just about a mile from Chico Hot Springs Resort where we dined our first night there. Thank you, Sarah, for a wonderful stay!
This is my third time staying in one of Sarahs cabins and I cannot say enough about how perfect it was! Sarah is an incredible host and her cabins are a slice of heaven! The craftsmanship is exceptional and the location cant be beat! I look forward to my next visit!! Thank you Sarah! I so enjoyed our visits!

We liked this comfortable nice cabin, It's not like a usual cabin, it's like a nice hotel apartment. We had a great time at Sarah's place. She has everything you need at her place. We felt at home plus a great view with a running creek nearby. It's easy to get to Yellowstone just half an hour's drive on a great scenic highway. Sarah is a wonderful person and host.
My wife and I loved this cabin. It is a renovated school house from the homestead era. The back porch has a view of small stream. It is ~30 minutes from the North entrance of Yellowstone, and the drive through the Paradise Valley next to the Yellowstone is beautiful.
It is remote, but my wife and I loved that. It is not far from hot springs, saloons, and restaurants. Hopefully, we will be back to stay again sometime!
What a great experience! The perfect place for a couple to go to and get away. It's located in a quiet area away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough to a few things if you need to run out and grab something. This was mine and my wife's first trip away alone with no kids or friends in over 20 years and it did not disappoint. The transformation Sarah has done to this property is amazing in itself! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who asked!
We stayed with two young children and found the cabin to be a perfect space for us to rest on our vacation. Our four year old even asked the day we left if we could stay at the cabin again! Sarah had a binder full of information that lead us to some of our adventures. I enjoyed the reading material on the history of the schoolhouse cabin. Plenty of toiletries were stocked for our family. Sarah’s communication was consistent and much appreciated. We had a wonderful family trip 😊
Exactly as advertised. Picturesque old "one room" School House Cabin, beautifully renovated. Great history. Perfect relaxing spot and launching point for all that SW Montana and Yellowstone offers. The "School House" was well furnished with nicely stocked kitchen. Lots of hooks for hanging towels, clothes, etc.
Our host, Sarah, was fantastic. Excellent communication. (She lives next door.) Provided tons of info and things to do/see based on her personal experience. Some amazing stories.
Would definitely recommend to others that want the Montana cabin experience (without roughing it) to put you in the right mood for the wonderful history, sights and hikes for this area.
We absolutely loved our stay at the School House! Sarah has done an amazing job restoring this property and filled it with all the comforts of home and more. A couple of great highlights are the location, mountain views, bunnies running around the land and the calming sounds of the creek in the back. Wonderful place in Montana!
The property was quiet and cozy. The host stopped by shortly after arrival and gave great recommendations for the area. If you stay here Yellowstone hot springs is a must! The drive to the park is quite enjoyable as well. Overall great stay and would stay here again on next visit!
Beautiful little cabin! So thoughtfully decorated, you know she paid attention to every detail! Super clean and had everything you needed! Sitting on the deck drinking some coffee in the morning and listening to the water running through the creek was just amazing! And did I mention the views! Just 1 mile from the Chico Resort which has a great Sunday brunch. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!
Our trip was exactly what we needed! A great property in a great location. Sarah was great a great hostess and we recommend this property to any couples looking to get away.
This cabin was the perfect spot for us to unwind and relax, while still being close enough to drive into Bozeman and Yellowstone. This was by far the best place I have vacationed, and Sarah was so kind and hepful!
Cabin was just as advertised. Perfect for my wife and me. Very private and quiet location. The view of Emigrant Peak from the porch while sipping a glass of wine is amazing.
