This place was amazing! I stayed with a friend, and it was huge and comfortable. Everything was clean, and the place felt very secure. Michal was kind and helpful, and checking in/out was a breeze. I really enjoyed the kitchen with a coffee maker. This was in a quieter neighbourhood, but it was super easy to get to the city centre on the tram. Highly recommend :)
A great sized apartment within a traditional Czech townhouse only a few minutes walk to the tram. Everywhere was clean, kitchen well equipped, shower hot . Would definitely stay again.
Very good communication with the host. He will give you a clean explanation about public transport to the centre of Prague. We enjoyed our stsy very much.
Michal was very easy going, provide us with a lot of information especially how to easily catch the tram just 5 minutes down the hill. The apartment was very comfortable and super clean. All and all an excellent stay, thank you so much Michal for being an excellent host.
👍👍👍👍
The location is excellent, providing convenient access to downtown and local shops via tram and metro. The apartment was clean. The place could benefit from upgrades including adding sofa to relax on.The heating was a major issue. We frequently had to request the owner to increase the room temperature. Despite wearing warm sweaters during the day, the nights remained exceptionally cold, causing the entire family to fall ill.Additionally, the water heater was insufficient, providing barely enough hot water for a family of four to take short showers.
Wonderful calm location, easy to access with tram. Fast and easy communication.

Great time...
Really enjoyed our visit to Prague, but the trip was made by staying at this property. Owner was incredibly friendly, gave a quick lay of the land, had tram tickets for us and set us up for success. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, we would stay here again...

Great place, great neighborhood
Our family of eight stayed here for two months and had a wonderful experience. The apartments are comfortable and well-equipped for long or short stays, and the view of the monastery is really lovely. Michal was an excellent host and helped us so much with our arrival and during our entire stay. He is quite knowledgeable about Prague and its history. It's easy and quick to get to Prague Castle and just a bit further to Old Town. A great place to stay!
The apartment in Břevnov was clean and ideally located in a quiet neighborhood. Michal greeted us and provided us with keys and offered us transit passes as well. The apartment had everything we needed, including a travel bed for our almost two-year-old. Overall a very nice apartment, close to transit and easy access to the castle and Old Town.

Very friendly host. Even allowed us access to the property before check-in time. Was ver prompt in communications before, during, and after our stay. Provided local transportation, dining, entertainment, and grocery store information upon arrival, complete with maps and notes. I needed to go back to pick up an electrical converter left in the apt, which he so graciously also accommodated. If we ever visit Prague again, will first look to see if his place is available. Very pleasant and peaceful experience that made our visit to Prague very enjoyable.

Thoroughly enjoyed this property!!
We were two couples using this property. My husband and I used the top floor appartment and our friends used the apartment below with the full kitchen. Michal was MORE than helpful and kind when we each arrived at different times. He gave us brochures, maps and recommended places to see and places to eat. This property is a bit out from the main areas, however, the tram was SOOO easy to use. Michal even had tickets that we could purchase from him making our first adventure out very easy. Billa grocery store is about a 10 minute walk so all the things we needed were easily gotten. We would highly recommend this property to people who like the B&B atmosphere.

2005
In June of 2005, my husband, my two teen-age sons, my teen-age niece and I stayed at Michael's rental property. It was so perfect! The location was removed from the noise and traffic of the inner city. We had a beautiful building and the interior apartment was wonderful. Perfectly accomodating for the 5 of us. We had absolutely wonderful windows that gave us a nice view of the community around us. The trolly line was within an easy walk and we were there in a few minutes. The trolly line was direct to the city so we had no confusion and it was easy to learn our transit points. Michael was the best host. He was helpful and spoke english easily. We started our trip through Europe at his residence and everywhere we stayed after that paled in comparison. Mike did everything possible to make our travel to his country, to his city, and to his home as easy as was humanly possible for him to do. My niece flew to Prague on a different flight and time from the rest of us and Michael met her at the airport and kept her safe for us until we arrived; then he flagged us down to unit our small unit; then took us all from the airport to his home. You can't ask for a better host anywhere. If you are going to be in Prague; you'd be safe and in the best care to stay here.

Prague visit September 2012
This was a comfortable place to stay with a very helpful owner that gave good advice on getting around the city, places to visit and great customer service (even after everything we had read ahead of time said customer service is not usually a high priority here). We were close to public transporation without all the noice or crowds and able to see what it could be like to "live" in Prague. Don't expect all the anemities that you would receive in a fancy hotel; but if all you are looking for is a clean, easy assess place to lay your head at the end of a fun filled day seeing the sites then this is your place to stay! You could even purchase your transporation tickets from the owner. We would definiately stay here again on our next visit and recommend it to our friends. This was a first time for our family to stay in something like this and are thankful to Michal for making this an enjoyable experience!!
If you only speak English, we do not recommend the restaurant (sorry forgot the name) that is closest to the house and transporation site. They refused to speak English to us or help with the menu at all the first night we were there and hoping to eat quickly and then go to bed since we had been traveling all day. We had to travel into the city (which isn't a far ride but we were really tired). That was the only place we had any trouble with; everyone else would speak English and most had English on their meuns too.

A Home Away from Home
We absolutely loved our stay in this apartment! We are a family of 5 (kids ages are 7, 5 and 3) and after two months of experiencing apartments of various sizes throughout Europe, we were immediately impressed by the roominess and homeliness of the apt. It was such a relief to have a bit of space for the family and everything we needed. I might also add that the cleanliness was excellent.
Michal's efforts were outstanding. His generosity in meeting us at the train station, orientating, organising, leading and informing us right at the beginning was key to a very enjoyable experience of Prague.
One of our objectives for travel was to provide our children with authentic experiences in the places that we visited. In Michal's apartment, we were able to live like a Czech family for 9 days and experience genuine Czech hospitality. We were very blessed by Michal and his family's efforts.
While the apartment is in Michal's home, I can heartily affirm that it is very private indeed. In fact, we felt very secure.
Also, while the accommodation is not in the city centre, it is easily accessible by the #22 tram (which sure beats any hop on hop off tourist bus! Don't waste your money in that!). So, if you're happy not to be walking distance for the major sites, then this apartment would be a great option for you. There is a little incline on the walk from the tram stop to home, but we saw this only as a good opportunity to burn off all the Czech food we had been eating!
A beautiful Czech family, hosting a homely apartment in a safe and quiet suburb just out of the city. A taste of the real Prague!
Thank you, Michal!

House up the steep hill
The property was a little out dated. Floorboards creaked in bedroom. My husband didn't get much sleep as every time I moved the floor creaked. Rugs were quite dangerous as every time you got to the end of one it moved. Not even got into the apartment and was asked to take my shoes off. (I don't understand why)Only a short distance to tram stop. It only took 7 mins to get there. Yes great but coming back was a different mater. The hill was very very steep. We only went out once a day so we wouldn't have to climb hill. Not suitable for people with bad knees/hips. Would we stay there again YES if they moved the hill. Apartment was very spacious but a little misleading. We had 2 couples and 1 single person. After really closely looking at photos realised there was only 2 bedrooms no lounge so the 5th person had to stop in another apartment upstairs and we had to pay extra. Michael was helpful showing maps etc but on arrival all I wanted to do was take my coat off and make a drink. I did ask for more towels as he had only left 1 towel each. Everything you needed was in the kitchen. Plants in all rooms including bedrooms. personally I don't like plants/flowers in bedrooms.

Felt like a home away from home
My husband, myself and our college-aged daughter stayed in the two bedroom apartment for a week while visiting Prague. Michal, the owner, met us on arrival and oriented us to the city and the public transit system. He had pamphlets for various sites in Prague and had researched event times for activities in the city the week of our stay. Overall, he was quite helpful and accommodating. The apartment itself was pleasantly spacious and comfortable. It is, as other reviews have mentioned, about 2 blocks from the tram line. It is on a small incline, and probably not well-suited to people with physical limitations. The #22 tram takes you from the neighborhood in Brevnov to the older, touristy part of Prague in about 10-30 minutes (depends on where you are headed - Prague Castle is quite close). It was great to get familiar with the tram and metro - we went to many sections of Prague during the week and traveled easily on public transit. A 24-hour pass for all transit lines costs 110 korunas (about $5). #22 is a great line, because it travels to many interesting parts of the city. Brevnov itself has the Brevnov Monastery. There is a view of it from the apartment. We had a very good Czech meal in the tavern there our first night in Prague. If you do stay here and are traveling on Tram22, do jump off the tram at Marjanka and walk toward the city to Moje Kredenc (Belohorska 26) for hot chocolate. It was a delicious way to start the day. We saw many beautiful sights, but would recommend taking the audio tour through Lobkowicz Palace and catching a classical music performance at St. George's Basilica at Prague Castle. Also, be sure to see the Astronomical Clock chime on the hour and hang out in Staromestske namesti one evening to watch the street performers.
Overall, this was a great place to stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend or to come back. I gave it 5 stars for value: it is a clean, quiet, comfortable place and well worth the price. It is convenient to the city (the tram runs frequently and is available all night, although less frequent after maybe 11 or midnight), but we never planned to return to the apartment until we were done sightseeing for the day since it does take some time to get back and forth. Then we would take advantage of the cozy kitchen to have a glass of wine or cup of tea and plan our adventure for the next day!
