Classic Cabin The Lodge on MW Chain

"Everything was exactly as described & pictures don’t even do it justice. Stayed here for a girls weekend (4 of us). From the minute we pulled up to the “Lodge” cabin we fell in love with the place! So warm & inviting, perfect getaway. We each had our own bedroom which we all appreciated how comfy the beds were. Having 2 full baths was so great too! Every evening we made a fire in the fireplace! So relaxing & a nice way to end the day. Lots of space to spread out in this cabin, very clean & felt like home. Highly recommend & we look forward to returning in the future!!"

"We loved the property - plenty of space for remote workers, enjoyed the lake, sunrises, fires in the fireplace, walking around the cranberry bogs, biking the roads, family dinners. The home is comfortable and well-appointed - highly recommend!!"

"We stayed for 5 nights in Lair, and I have to say, this is the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in!The condo has that perfect Up North vibe—charming, cozy, and very cute. The kitchen was stocked with the basics, including dishes, pans, a grill, and other essentials. The one thing I would have liked to see was a selection of basic spices.The living room was comfortable and cozy, and the main bedroom was spacious with its own bathroom. The second bedroom had two sets of bunk beds, which we didn’t use. There was also a utility room with a washer and dryer, which was a nice convenience. Parking was easy, and we really liked how centrally located the property was to everything we wanted to do.Overall, the property itself was beautiful, clean, and well maintained.A few things I would improve:The bed. This was, hands down, the hardest bed I have ever slept on! Add in the 2-inch-thick pillows, and it was an epic fail for me. We actually ended up purchasing Biofreeze and a heating pad just to survive the 5 nights.No fire pit. I love nothing more than relaxing around a fire with a cocktail and making a s’more. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a fire pit available for condo guests. There is a fireplace in the pool area, but it is not for condo guests to use. Another fail for me. The pool costs 10 a day. I was surprised that, as a guest staying at the property, there was an additional 10-per-day charge to use the pool.Overall: The condo was exceptionally clean, charming."

"We've stayed in each of the 3 red cabins plus the Brick House on and off over the last 35 years and Alderwood is better than ever. It still has all the charm of being up north and I still love the no TV's. But the kitchen is better equipped than it used to be, the showers are hot, and the beds are comfortable. We appreciate the firewood and the use of the kayaks and row boat as well. The on site store is adorable and well curated. I loved the lending library with its up to date selection. But the very best thing I love about Alderwood is how quiet it is. That quiet is a rare commodity that I truly appreciated. Thank you to Becca and staff for keeping the resort the lovely spot it is today."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home, waterfront and grounds worked out beautifully for all 3 generations. Spacious and well appointed interior and exterior, ample parking, plenty of dock for fishing and lounging, shallow water for kids to play and swim in and deep enough for fishing. The nearby park and miles of bike trail were used by everyone.Would definitely recommend."

"Cannot believe how awesome this house was! Beautifully decorated & cleanest property I've ever rented. The kitchen was stocked with everything that you could possibly need. The beds were soo comfortable. The location was perfect. The younger grandkids loved finding little frogs on the shore of the lake. We had smores by the fire pit a few nights, grilled out, and lounged with drinks by the lake. The host was very welcoming and always responded to questions quickly! Couldn't ask for a better host.Such a beautiful area. Haven't been here in years but glad we came back. Our adult kids (who came to this area for many years in a row when they were little) totally enjoyed it & showing their kids all that they used to do & places they went to.Was able to bring our dog who loved it too!"

"The property was very clean. Host responded quickly but we needed to consult the neighbors about shared canoes, kayaks, paddles, life vest, etc. The instructions provided by the owner for the water sports was poor, questions remained. No grilling but there was a grill next to the cottage. The kitchen was lacking pans, cookie sheet/pizza pan, glassware. Better lighting was needed in the kitchen. Loved the location on the river and the screened porch was awesome! Good hot water and water pressure, nice towels and linens."

"View of lake is great. Grounds are beautiful. Cozy clean cabin. One of the bigger modern bathrooms we’ve had in a cabin rental. Hosts are outstanding."
