"We were privileged to stay in this palace. When driving up to the building you get a feeling for the grandure, but on entering the reception it's jaw droppingly impressive. The staff were very helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the history of the building. The breakfast was excellent. The woodland grounds are beautiful, we spent a day exploring with a picnic (you have to be fit, it's very steep in places) The room was clean and functional but not at all luxurious. Come to this property for the amazing architecture and beauty of the forest, not for the room."

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had), they just added the bill right in for us to pay the next day, so easy and relaxing. The pool was huge and very clean. Much needed relaxation day in the mountains :) Free parking right on site. Free buffet breakfast."
