"Honeymooning in italy"
This was the fourth out of six locations on our honeymoon. We had booked a Deluxe double with a terrace and at arrival they upgraded us to a Junior Suite. The Suite had an amazing balcony but there was no view from inside the room making it slightly depressing. After staying in the suite for one night we requested the staff to change us to a room which had a view from the bed. They showed us two rooms and we moved into a deluxe room with a terrace which was slightly smaller but we loved because of the stunning view which we could see directly from our bed. It is an excellent hotel with very old school charm to it.

"The best of the best "
I have been lucky enough to stay in a lot of beuatiful places, but this stay was unbeatable because of the family who lives there. Angelo is the best, so kind and helpful. He had cold water waiting for us at the top of the stairs when we arrived. Melania provided warm croissants with chocolate, fresh cappuccinos, juices and fruits and jellies from their garden for breakfast on our terrace the first morning. It was like a dream! Angelo told us about a great beach and some nice restaurants nearby. For our second day, we wanted to leave super early for a hike so I thought we would have to miss out on breakfast but Angelo insisted on bringing it for us at 7 am! When we would come or go we got to see two pups who lived there, it made being away from our pups a little easier. That evening we asked to have dinner in our room and it was so wonderful, bruchetta, homemade cannelloni, chocolate lava cake and organic wine all with our perfect view of the sunset. I got bit by a mosquito while taking pictures on the terrace and Angelo was there two minutes later with bug spray. I was stressed out because I booked our train back to Milan way earlier than any public transportation could get us to Naples. Of course however because of Angelo at 7:30 the next morning we had full bellies and a Mercedes waiting to drive us all the way to Naples to catch our train. Angelo, you and your family are amazing and we won't forget your kindness.

"Great Place"
Great view, people, room, location. Good breakfast. We would like to go back sometime. We went late March and the off season rates were a good value.

"Loved Every Minute!"
My boyfriend and I could not have been more pleased with our stay at Villa Fiorentino this past September. Ari and the rest of the staff went above and beyond at any given moment to make sure that we had exactly what we needed. They were extremely helpful and informative in regards to us mapping out our time in Positano. We came in pretty opened minded and looking for recommendations, and it took Ari no less than half an hour to draft up a personalized itinerary for the remainder of our stay in Positano. Every restaurant, excursion, and day trip was based off of their recommendations and they were spot on. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

"Hotel Marincanto is a must stay in Positano!"
Hotel Maricanto was the best place I have stayed in Positano, after many years of going there. There are not enough words to say about the staff- they are the most friendly, accommodating, kind hearted people I have encountered. They went above and beyond in making our stay the best possible. All of our guests commented on wonderful their experience was and raved about the staff. We were so impressed by their hard work around the clock and warm smiles on their faces. The hotel was impeccably clean, the food was out of this world, and the views are unforgettable. We can't wait to go back to Marincanto. It was a dream!

"A lovely place to stay in Positano"
The hotel was very nice and the staff was quite helpful, providing advice about excursions and restaurants. It is definitely worth it to get a sea view room. Breakfast is brought to your room every morning and served on the terrace. The hotel is well situated. If you come by ferry, make sure to have the hotel hire you a porter to bring your luggage to the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a few minutes walk to the beach and harbor. Positano is the perfect place to be based, such a beautiful town and easy to do day trips to other locations. And Villa Rosa is a great place to stay in Positano, intimate, charming and well situated.

"Lovely small family run bed and breakfast "
This bed and breakfast was very comfy and close to the shops, restuarants and the beach. There were only 3 rooms which were in the owners house and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to find out all the local knowledge from them.

"Great location and beautiful hotel."
All in all it was a great stay. The hotel is in a great location and is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Very nice gardens, view from balcony, and staff. Pool was closed in our visit which was a downer, otherwise a 5 star experience.

Pocket Guide: Positano Positano Independent Hotels

A desirably picturesque tourist haunt, Moorish-style houses cling to Positano’s steep hillsides. It’s a pleasant walk down to the small grey beach and fishing harbour via narrow, flower-decked alleyways and steps, but the return journey takes some effort (luckily there’s a bus). A domed church is Positano’s main landmark. The town celebrates the Feast of the Assumption on 15th August by re-enacting a famous victory against the Saracens.
