"This house is absolutely perfect for big families. Everyone has their private space while also having large common areas to share with each other. The “casita” is a plus of this rental. An independent 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment ideal for teenagers or a couple with kids. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach (about 200 yds) and great amenities (kayak, paddle board, boogie boards, bikes, board games, and more!) Definitely coming back. Great value for money."

"Incredible home with an incredible host! Beautiful surroundings, fantastic pool and a short walk to some of the best restaurants in the area. We saw howler monkeys, giant iguanas, beautiful birds all from the backyard. Jackie saw to all our needs. As the title says, it was a fantastic stay!"

"My family and I truly enjoyed this house. It is a bit of a trek up into the woods but so worth it. The house is very clean and fairly well appointed. It was very easy to communicate with the manager with regards to getting in and settled as well as recommendations in the area. We were visited almost daily by a troop of monkeys which was incredible. We highly recommend this house and the town of Samara"

Since weather is around 87 °F (30°C), nights are terribly hot because ceiling fan was not enough, even worse for the bottom bunk bed where the wind won't reach. Try to open doors or windows at your own risk and mosquitos will eat you alive or perhaps other criters will visit you since there are no mosquito nets around doors/windows. "Beautiful home, beautiful location, great view of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom. Very responsive property manager, answered all my questions in a timely manner. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to make it up the hills to the house. Well kept. Modern inside. Dishes and cooking things all stocked. My only comment would be that this house is not a 5 min walk from the beach like it says. Its about a 5 to 7 minute drive down the hills and a little road driving. No complaints otherwise."

"We loved the apartment and having two pools was great. The beach was a very short walk across the road and down a trail and there are restaurants on the doorstep. Santa Teresa is the perfect surf and yoga town, has a good healthy lifestyle feel about it and feels safe. We loved being able to walk back and forth to the beach so if one person had enough of the beach they didn't have to wait for the whole family. "Hideaway Hotel is a wonderful gem in Samara. From the moment we walked in the staff treated us as top-notch guests. Breakfast options were excellent and there is a beautiful beach in walking distance. Rooms are spacious, air-conditioning is ice cold, the water is hot and WiFi is fast. There’s a little pool on property that we did not swim at because we chose to go to the beach. Pool looked clean and nice just a few feet from outdoor breakfast. If you drive three minutes up the road, there is an even more gorgeous beach Playa Carrillo. Go there! – In the low season there’s virtually nobody on the beach. A brief drive into town and there are great dining options. "
