What a fantastic property! You could not ask for more if you plan to stay on the Caribbean side of Panama... Casa Buenaventura was perfect for our troop of 4 adults and 5 children. Clean, well appointed, lots of space... and Gabriel was the best! He met us personally upon check in to show the house, provide us with a full itinerary for 5 days of fun, beaches, private boat tour, short trips along the coast, snorkeling, and more! Additionally, Gabriel was only a quick What'sApp text away with any information and support. And location, location, location... right on the water where you can walk/swim out for 100 yards in shallow water, perfect for the kids and extremely safe and close to restaurants (excellent food!), markets, and the town of Portobelo. But note, this is a rustic area of Panama and be prepared to live like the locals, brush up on your Spanish, and enjoy some warm, rainy nights ;)

The property should have been cleaner, (floors, stairs, furniture, shower mats) Not enough towels or wash clothes. the sofas need to be replaced they were so dirty i did not want to sit on them. Could have used a few more pots and pans. We had a couple of problems that Gabriel was quick to remedy. (one of the beds came apart, and a bathroom toilet needed to be fixed) both taken care of the very next day. There were not any dressers to store your clothes. The house was roomy, and has the potential be a very nice place. Just need to invest some money back into it and we might consider coming back. C. Lowe
