가족 모두 너무 친절하고 영어나 스페인어로도 대화가 가능하기 때문에 소통에 문제가 없었습니다. 방도 너무 깨끗하고 따뜻한 편이였습니다. 집에서 보통 걸음걸이로 7분 정도 거리에 지하철 역이 있고 밤 늦게 다녀도 안전하다고 느꼈어요. 체크아웃 할때엔 직접 찍으신 사진이라며 포르투 사진도 선물로 주셔서 감동이였어요. 다시 포르투 여행 한다면 또 방문하고 싶고 지인들에게도 추천해 주고 싶은 곳이에요! 100점 주고 싶네요~

Mr Cruz is a great host and his place is clean well maintained and quiet . He gives you get directions on the train to Porto centro . I enjoyed my stay and love Porto

Best guest house in Porto

it has to be the best (secret ) guest house in Porto ! It was fantastic and one of the best places I have ever stayed in and I travel extensively!! The host was super friendly ,accommodating and helpful and even left us a small gift to take home at the end ! Thank you ! The room was beautiful, quiet and super clean and had all the comfort needed Generously provided kettle with variety of tea and coffee and bottled water ! Great shower ,hot water ,WiFi and just a sense of home from home in a quiet residential area of Porto 3minutes walk to the line D metro which takes you everywhere I would definitely recommend and hope to come back !obrigada !!

L'accès au centre ville par le métro est très pratique. La chambre donnant sur le jardin était spacieuse et fraîche. L’accueil par le propriétaire a été excellent. M. Cruz a été à l'écoute de toutes nos questions et s'est montré très disponible tout au long du séjour.

Такой красивый и уютный дом! Я приехала совсем рано и мне открыли и разрешили оставить вещи (все комнаты были заняты). Станция метро близко, также рядом парк и кафе, где вкусная выпечка. Я жила в одноместное номере, небольшом, но очень уютном. Хорошая ванная комната со всем необходимым. Очень рекомендую!

The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Paulo and his Dad were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The property was well situated - near to two metro stations and several cafes and restaurants, and a twenty minute downhill walk to the city centre. We would stay here again if visiting Porto.

Hospedaria excepcional. O sr. Gil Cruz e sua família me acolheram muito bem. São muito gentis, educados e prestativos. Passaram me importantes dicas de roteiros turísticos na cidade e redondezas. O quarto é limpo e confortável. A sala de banho é limpa e perfumada! A estação de metrô Combatentes é próxima e conecta a todas as áreas de interesse. Porto é encantadora. O acolhimento da família anfitriã é exemplar, o que torna a estadia perfeita.

A true gem

This was one of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed, and I travel 50% of the year for work. Not only was the place impeccably clean and quiet but the hosts were incredible. To say he was kind and welcoming is an understatement - our last night we shared some port wine and talked for a few hours with Gil and it was one of our favourite parts of the trip. We stayed in the suite and it was beautiful and SO clean. Loved the tile work and it was a perfect size for a week stay. Our whole stay he kept making sure we were okay and enjoying our time in Porto. The neighborhood is quiet and has some great restaurants nearby (Augustos for dinner!) and is close proximity to the Centre. I’ll 100% return here if I get the chance to visit Porto again. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Mon amie et moi étions ravies et très satisfaites des prestations, de l'acueil et du confort ainsi que de l'hygiène. Le propriétaire Gil et sont fils ont été d'une gentillesse rare et nous ont renseignés sur tous le séjour, ils nous accordés beaucoup de temps et même fait des rechetches pour sur les transports et autres..je conseille fortement ce guesthouse même si il n'ai pas au centre, néanmoins il y a une avenue a descendre pour arriver au centre. Nous avons fait toute la côte du Portugal en seéournant dans différent établissements et je peux vous assurer qu'il est de loin le meilleur!!! Merci a Gil et Paulo pour votre gentillesse..à très bientôt!

Great location, close to metro station

A recently renovated guest house in a great location. It's about 5 minutes walk from the metro station in a quiet location. There's plenty of cafes and restaurants in the local area and a small supermarket. You can walk to the city centre in less than half an hour (all downhill) or hop on the metro for 4 or 5 stops, we walked in and caught the metro back up the hill.

Would not stay anywhere else in Porto

Could not be any better, perfect place. The room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Location was excellent with a 4 minute walk to the metro with only a handful of stops into central Porto. We met the father and son, and they are brilliant and so helpful. We left very early this morning and very surprised to be met by the father whom presented us with 2 beautiful photos of Porto which we will treasure. Canjot recommend this beautiful guesthousehighly enough and we would certainly stay tgere if we returned to Porto.

I travelled to Porto with my 10 year old son for our very first holiday abroad together. I was therefore a little apprehensive about whether it would meet our expectations, and that we would feel safe and comfortable. I can honestly say that staying with the amazing owners of Casa Velha Guesthouse made our trip that much better. They were warm, engaging, friendly, generous with their time and knowledge, gave me so much advise and tips on where to go and what to do in the city. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The house is lovely - a real traditional treat. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully designed (and has a shower you never want to leave.) Fresh fluffy towels were provided everyday and our bed was big and comfortable. As both the owners are busy, you can come ands go during the day without feeling overwhelmed or intrusive - it really feels like your own private haven. But they were also always there to greet us in the evening. The guesthouse is located just five minutes walk away from the metro station, and the frequent trains means you can get into the city centre quickly. But this is also a very peaceful area. It's authentic - a working residential street, and so if you want to feel part of the community and get away from the tourists this is great. We had breakfast at the same cafe on the corner every morning - as their pastries and coffee were delicious, and the staff recognised and made us feel welcome every morning.
