I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, and was always happy to return. I've stayed in different hotels in between, and none (even newer ones) were as good as the Blue Tree Towers Millenuim. Now, after an almost two-year hiatus, I came back to a total disappointment. I don't know if management changed or what really happened for it to undergo so much change.
Tired after a long trip, I waited for the elevator (only one of the three seemed to be working) for a long time, only to see it arrive with a couple of employees inside. Once I let one of them exit, the second one just quickly closed the door and left me there. I mentioned to the front-desk attendant how rude that had been, but he totally ignored my complaint.
Once in the room, the window did not open - the strap to pull the shades up or down was notoriously broken. The safe did not work either, and the lock on the door was missing. Upon calling the front desk and asking to be placed in a different room, they refused to do it, and made me wait for a maintenance guy's assessment first. Well, he arrived, and did not need more than a few seconds to realise everything that was wrong, and called the front desk telling them I needed to be moved to a different room immediately.
The second room was even worse: dirty, still no lock on the door, no towels, and with both remotes for the TV and the AC not working.
The breakfast buffet, which used to be excellent, was not even a third of what it once was.Not going back
