The Fisherman's Cottage - a Lakeside Loft in the Heart of Wine Country

A cozy retreat in the heart of the Lake Erie Wine Trail that comes with a complimentary wine tasting at 21 Brix Winery.

This newly renovated 1950's fishing cabin boasts modern amenities to ensure your comfort while retaining hints of it's former purpose. Wake up each morning to take in the panoramic view of Lake Erie from the back deck. Enjoy sunset from the screened in porch while you listen to the waves below. The Fisherman's Cottage can sleep up to 6 making it perfect for a girl's weekend at the wineries or a romantic getaway.

The cottage is just a few miles from Lake Erie State Park and Barcelona Harbor's public beach and marina. All Chautauqua Lake has to offer is just 15 minute to 20 minutes away including the Chautauqua Institute and Bemus Point. Spend your time boating in the summer, skiing in the winter, or touring wineries all year long.

What a lovely place with a niece view of the lake. The cottage was cozy and so comfortable. We had a great reunion. I hope we are able to do this visit again very soon.

The host was great to communicate with in advance of our one-night stay and we loved that the cleaning products (soaps etc) were no or low fragrance. Great sunset view over the lake too!

What a find!!

After reading the other reviews, we booked this cottage and boy did it deliver! Amazing views, a hammock, firepit, and a perfect sun porch for reading, that we will return to enjoy in warmer weather. Inside, everything has been thought of and we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog, as well. Julie was attentive and quick to respond to any inquiries we had. You will not be disappointed so book it already!pup

Hidden Gem

From the outside it didn’t look like much, but when you got inside it was a tranquil beautiful retreat. The hostess thoughtfully stocked the cabin w everything you could need while there. Lots of towels, bug spray, games, a great book collection, and even a record player. The lake view was breath taking at sunset. The only thing that could have used improving was the windows in the sunroom really need cleaned and the outside patio area needed cleaned as well lots of webs and spiders. Those 2 things hardly dampened the stay. We will definitely be back.

We enjoy quick getaways, this was just what we needed to unwind and just hangout, for end of May it was rainy and cold but we had a great time despite the weather. Comfy & inviting cottage.

Beautiful place! Rained all weekend but the Fisherman’s cottage was cozy and comfortable for the four of us.It is a little bit of a drive to nicer restaurants. But that would not deter me from going back again. Thoroughly enjoyed the space.

Bridesmaids stay

There were 5 ladies and we loved the stay. We didn’t see a larger skillet for breakfast. We ran the washer and dryer before leaving and loaded the dishwasher but did not see the dish pods under sink. Also there were spiders in door ways. Oh and be ware if you pull the flat screen tv out, or is left out as when you turn the fan on, it will catch it.

Amazing Place

We had a fantastic time staying here. Everything was great and I cannot say enough good things about this place. The coffee provided was a nice touch AND the record selection was excellent . Comfortable sleeping arrangements and had a great view of the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Wow, just WOW!

A friend and I stayed at this cottage for a one night. Upon opening the door we immediately knew we made the right choice. This older cottage has been remodeled and appointed exquisitely. The owner has an eye for detail and made sure the small cottage had special extras for the guests. This rental really stands out compared to others I have seen in the area. I will stay here again when in the area and recommend it to my friends.
