Nothing good to share. They let me book a room but when I showed up they said it was double booked and didn’t give me an option to upgrade. I had to book another hotel but of course they still charged me for my room. Now I have to have my bank deal with it which will take forever no doubt. Tks for nothing!!

The hotel was really nice very modern like how they the room set up very clean nice view . The staff at the front desk was so helpful and also the valet was such helpful everything about this hotel was very nice. I will definitely go back and stay longer.

Definitely worth the price. This property is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious and high quality. Will definitely be staying at this hotel from now on. Our dinner was comped as well!! A new Kimpton fan for sure.

I stayed in one of their private hot tub rooms and it was just what I needed - so relaxing. And the front desk staff was incredibly accommodating and kind from the moment I walked in the door, to me and my dog (no pet rent at this hotel, btw). However, the Monday night bartender at Bacchus (the reason I'm not giving the staff 5 stars) was incredibly rude and patronizing in a way that I'm guessing he would not have been had I been a bit younger and a bit thinner. But the awesome front desk staff, the privacy of the room and the lovely view from the hot tub more than made up for the crappy bartender.

The room was beautiful, the tub was phenomenal, the bar and bar manager was great! He was hilarious and attentive, his service was great. Cece was kind and inviting at the front desk and I appreciated the check up text! Check out was easy, but we had to wait for valet for literally an hour to get the cars… I had to reschedule my client which also pushed back all my other appointments resulting in loss of income for me. The coffee was out and we were told where the nearest coffee shop was instead the staff just refilling the coffee pot. No one offered and type of explanation or reimbursement for the costly valet experience that way very apparent. The hotel itself was beautiful but the customer service at the end was inexcusable.

This property is so unique! My friend from Portland recommended this hotel as we were trying to get home to Eugene from Chicago during the ice storm. What a find! Everyone was so accommodating. The GM, George, personally made sure we were not forgotten when we showed up for our reservation 2 hours early. I sipped hot cocoa in the lobby, then Noah checked us in and informed us about complimentary wine from 5-6. We played shuffleboard then had a lovely dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. It took us 2 extra days to complete our trip to Eugene but this was definitely the best experience we could have possibly had. A&J❤️

I generally enjoyed the hotel. I was disappointed that my room wasn't cleaned when I left for the day. Not sure if you need to request it if you want your room cleaned, but no one told me that. Thank you

The staff were amazing. We loved our room. There was a passionfruit(?or similar?) smell in the room and sheets when we first arrived that was mild and very pleasant. Best hotel stay I've had in a while.

Everything about our stay was great except for the bed. It was so uncomfortable that we cut our trip short and went home to sleep in our own bed instead of staying the second night of our reservation.

Friday night stay
The trans woman at the front desk was not friendly nor welcoming. From the beginning there was an attitude before I even gave her my credit card. Second there was no one to open the door and take my bags which is what I expected from since this is what the Hotel Kimpton Monaco in Seattle does and has treatment similar to royalty. My room was the higher end spa room and the room only had 1 robe so my partner didn’t have one and it from my experience at the front desk I was turned off by that already. The kimpton in Seattle not only had two robes but slippers and expected the same amenities. This kimpton left very much to be desired. There was a child above our room having a meltdown screaming and stoping around early in the morning which was triggering to me a disabled veteran with ptsd so that was not a great experience for me to have to endure while on my anniversary. While I get that family’s may come to the hotel I feel like if they have an unruly child they should at least have been not been right underneath someone from the looks of it the hotel was not busy Friday night. -Kris

The hotel has an extremely welcoming staff. Noah, the front desk manager, was especially exceptional. The downtown location is very convenient to key points across the city. The rooms also have a nice design.

The valet pricing and service (I declined and self parked for less than half), the front desk check staff was / is condescending - apparently straight and white are taboo in Portland. The area seemed unsafe, and I'm from LA which is sub par as well. It would have been better to stay by the airport.

This property & services are getting raggedy. I used to stay here often in 2017-2020 but since coming back it's not worth the money. I rented a suite I've had lots of times before, room has photos of a full wet bar, bar seating, large dining room table, only to be given some kind of smaller jr. suite for a premium suite price. Manager was condescending to me saying all the rooms have the same amenities, but I have eyes, I can see there's no wet bar with sink, bar seating or full dining room table that seats 6 people. Room has a faint, weird sweet stink to it...like the smell of someone drinking a lot of daiquiris, throwing them up on the carpet, and it was just cleaned 2 hours ago. The heater is crazy loud when it starts up, so we are just going without. Random guys fighting and yelling down on the street - no surprise there's at least 15 houseless folk along side either area of the hotel. Drawers old and warped that won't shut all the way. No big deal, just not premium vibes like the cost of the room would imply. This is an old building that hasn't been updated, surrounded by high/drunk houseless people and their bodily refuse, with rude, unhelpful staff that will literally try to gaslight you on what you paid for vs what you are getting.

nice place. Thanks for the free cup of coffee each morning. Given the high numbers of homeless in the neighborhood, I'd appreciate the function of a doorman. Somebody hit me up for money while I was waiting for a colleague in the hotel's lobby.

Check in was supposed to be at 3pm and we had to wait over an hour for our room. Overall we love the hotel and our stay was very comfortable. If check in was a little more smooth I would stay there again.

Great get away
The reserve spa room was perfect for our little get away. Hotel very trendy. Close to pioneer square where the nice shops are. Recommend staying away from areas like Chinatown as the homeless situation is still very prominent.
