The cottage was even more beautiful in person. The little touches made our stay even more memorable. Kerosene lamps, THE VIEWS, fire pits, gas stove, walks on the beach, the sound of the waves trickling on the pebbled beach were just SOME of my favorite parts. We will definitely be coming back and staying in this exact cottage!
The cabin was just as expected! Both the beds were large enough to easily fit two adults. I had an infant with me and they provided a pack-n-play for him! The hosts were great to work with and all very nice! Check in and check out were also easy. Location was unbeatable!! So beautiful
My husband and our two dogs love coming to stay at Whiskey Creek! We have been coming for about 5-6 years and it is one of our favorite getaway places!! It always has everything needed and the people are always so kind. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of wonder.
Super impressed! Such a cute little cabin. My 3 year old son woke up this morning and even said he wanted to live here now. Super fun combing the beach and checking out the different plants and things that washed up. Would highly recommend!

The cabin was a darling little house with a deck. It was warm and equipped excellently. It is on a rocky beach at the end of a private dirt road, with no place to walkOr explore without a drive. Be sure to give them a smartphone # as they do not call or email. You need codes to get into the property, which is a confusing mix of RVs, A frames, cottages and houses. There is NO office.
This cottage was all I wanted and more. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. There was everything you need to make a small meal in the kitchen. There were even grinds for coffee which I was really grateful for since we were only staying 1 night. I didn’t want to buy full containers of things. Port Angels was just a short drive for dinner and Hurricane ridge was 30 minutes from cottage to entrance (additional 30 to get up the mountain). The cottage doesn’t pickup WiFi and coverage is spotty so just prepare yourself. All in all, such a lovely stay.

The Codfish cabin is located directly on the washed stone beach which adds a romantic swish sound to the ocean waves as they return back into the water. The cabin itself is a step back in time, which is welcoming for those seeking a private and romantic stay away from the hustle of modern life. The cabin stays warm with its gas fireplace and is lit using gas and oil lamps.
The property was exactly what we expected. It was very rustic and cozy. Upon arrival we called the host to inquire regarding the gate, but that call went unanswered and unreturned. We also texted seeking out matches for the propane lanterns in the cabin and that text was never responded to. The only communication we received from the host was the check in code. Beautiful property, but the lack of responsiveness was a bit frustrating.
This is truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever stayed. Tim and Rachael sharing this property feels like a gift. It’s the kind of place that immediately slows you down and invites you to be present. The cabin exceeded expectations and is even better in person. The deck and outdoor chairs appear newer, everything is impeccably clean, and there’s none of the mustiness you might expect from a waterfront cabin. The decor is charming, warm, and beyond cozy. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t, which makes it feel especially intentional and peaceful.I visited in the winter when the days were shorter and recommend packing candles, a good flashlight (there are electrical and pendant lamps, which seem like a modern upgrade to the earlier and more rustic versions of the cabins), pack books and good binoculars. One other tip, the kitchen is small, so if you’re planning more involved meals, it’s worth knowing in advance. I love to cook and prepped most meals ahead, finishing smaller components on site, which actually made the stay even more enjoyable with less time spent cooking and cleaning. The kitchen is well equipped, the water gets hot, and everything works exactly as it should.I am deeply grateful to Tim and Rachael for sharing this special place. I never wanted to leave and already cannot wait to return.
Such an amazing and cozy stay. My daughter in law and I were on a week vacation and needed one night stay before going to Olympic National Park. It was perfect. I knew from the photos the view was beautiful, but I didn’t realize how relaxing the cute oceanfront cabin was going to be. We both enjoyed reading on the porch with the sound of the waves crashing and then rhythmically retreating through the pebbles. The cabin itself was small, but with everything we could need for a quiet stay. Having gas lamps upped the relaxation even more. The beds were so comfy and having the kitchen meant we didn’t have to leave and eat out. Check in was easy as well. And of course - that view….I can’t say enough about how much I loved this place.
The directions they emailed were clear and accurate. Contactless check in and check out was great - we never even had to talk to anyone at the property. The cabin was clean and looked just like the pics. The water views were AMAZING. There's no AC or electricity, but we had propane appliances and lights and a single outlet for charging our phones, which was much appreciated. The breezes coming off the water came through our open windows and kept it cool inside, even in August. This place feels very rural and despite there being people in other cabins and A-frames on the property, it really felt like being out on your own. I would absolutely stay here again.
So peaceful, beautiful, and private. Great place to getaway and rest. Had everything we could possibly need. Close enough to town to get groceries, a meal, or adventure quickly. This was our dream stay and We hope we get to come back soon!
I was only here for one night but I wish I stayed a few more nights. This property was better than I expected. It felt so homey and fit in perfectly with its surroundings. I loved the kerosene lamps and the views from the deck and bedroom. Tim was very quick to respond when I had any questions about the cabin or the surrounding area, which I appreciated. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and I hope I’m able to come back to this cabin again in the future!
This was an absolutely spectacular stay. We did not know what to expect because the weather was pretty tough but we figured we would make the best of it. We arrived after dark so we did not quite understand where we were but falling asleep to the waves crashing on the beach was so peaceful. When we woke up we were greeted by a magnificent view of the ocean that was absolutely breath taking. We hope to stay here again soon.
