We had such a wonderful stay at the Blue Haven on Lake Sutherland! The house served all of our needs as a gateway to long hiking adventures in Olympic National Park each day. Our host was fast and responsive to any inquiries and the check-in/check-out process was hassle-free. We loved being right on the lake and spent our mornings with coffee on the dock and evenings rowing around the cove. Hope to venture back one day!
We had an amazing time at Blue Haven before and after our micro-wedding! Blue Haven was the perfect place to get ready for the ceremony, spend time with family, and have a peaceful couple days recovering from the event! It’s such a beautiful place and we highly recommend it!
We lucked out and got to stay and this amazing place for a night and it is worth every penny. The views are beautiful, the house was very clean, and the owner was easy to communicate with. I will most definitely be booking again.
We had perfect weather so were able to enjoy our favorite part of the house—the outside deck and water! Hiked to the waterfall at nearby Crescent Lake, had pancakes at the lodge and a fun meal at Granny’s Cafe. It helped to have water shoes for using the kayaks.
This house worked perfectly for our family of 4 + pups for a brief visit to the Olympic Peninsula. House was as described and had a really nice updated cabin feel. Enjoyed the kayaks and close access to nearby Lake Crescent and hiking. The house is on the less busy side of the lake (dead end road) which was nice. Wish we could have stayed longer and would be fun to come during warmer weather to enjoy the deck. :-)

Over priced
The location was excellent but way over priced for what we experienced. The facility was not very clean. About half of the outside lights did not work which made it difficult to use the upper level of stairs. The day we wanted to use the grill we discovered the tank was empty. Was able to contact someone quickly but told to change tanks with the fire pit on the deck. It was empty as well. For what we paid a night there should have been full tanks there and spare tanks as well. It took over 4 hours to get filled tanks so we never got to use the grill. There were fishing rods there but one did not have any fishing line in it and the lures were pretty generic. Everything just seemed old and worn out. Not what the pictures showed. The kayaks were nice! Attached are some pictures of the uncleanliness. The picture of the rug in the bathroom makes it look better than it actually was. You could barely tell that there were yellow and white stripes. It all looked dingy. So, not what we expected especially for the price we paid. Would not recommend. However, the people we dealt with were very friendly and helpful!
