"Nice place, good airco, in the old town close to restaurants etc. Breakfast was sad (pre-packed toast, butter and jam). The city of Taranto is not very nice, a lot of boarded up homes, streets at dirt etc. There is not much to do. I thought the price of the room was high considering that city."

"To be fair, I am reviewing the Akropolis Hotel because that’s where I stayed. When I got to San Andrea Degli Armeni, there was no one there, but a sign there had a phone number to call. The person said to come to the Akropolis Hotel which was just a short walk. Apparently they are sister hotels and my reservation was switched but because I booked on hotels.com they staff couldn’t reach me. No big deal, as it was close by. "Communication was horrible and did not live up to the bilingual standard. Plus they moved my family to another room last minute while my 7 month old was in a bath. Didn't even attempt to Whatsapp me. Nor did they respond fairly quickly when messaged through this app. They don't offer cleaning services as listed only the cleaning lady will do it as a favor but will charge you. Highly inconvenient over all. Was a beautiful place but lack of communication was so awful we decided to go stay...

"I knew I was in for a noisy ride when they put me in a room behind the reception. I was right. The staff were very noisy from 7 in the morning. Big gap under the door so it felt like they were in my room. Then, low and behold, the cleaner just walked in at 830 without knocking. She didn’t apologise or even lock the door. Breakfast was terrible. "
