"A short winter visit. Chose a small room, which was basic but more than suitable for our needs, no issues with cleanliness. Room got cleaned everyday. Shower worked well, no issues with hot water. AirCon available but didn't use. Radiators could be turned off, room would be hot with them left on, we had no issues with temperature. TV with remote in the room. You could hear other rooms but everything seemed to go silent around 10pm. Found the owners & staff friendly, the hotel felt like a home from home but I do speak Italian. The owners live on site and are always around to help. Optional evening meal was excellent. Optional breakfast was adequate & typically continental. Style of hotel was very much a mountain chalet. Log fire in communal area with a bar. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning. "

"Central accommodation a few minutes walk from everything in Piacenza. My room was HUGE (very unusual for a solo traveller!) and very comfortable with plenty of seating and contemporary decor. The bathroom was also enormous and full equipped. The staff I met were efficient and friendly. I would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel was a hiden gem. Beautiful small town, seems to have lots of history. In addition our stay had excellent breakfast and access to a wonderful spa. We found a great restaurant near by with an amazing dinner menu. Our room was great."

"Hotel was above our expectations. At the time we checked in, very pleasant gentleman greeted us and went above and beyond to provide us with information and to accommodate us with best option for our big family with small children. Next morning - a lady at the front desk, was a little bit unwelcoming. We requested an iron and ironing board and it took several attempts and 1.5h later we got it. Then at the check out time, same lady was giving us a hard time about one of the card keys that my daughter accidentally left in the room. Front desk lady repeatedly mentioned that it would be better if we had returned the key. Several apologies from us didn’t release the situation..which at the end gave us impression that she cared about the plastic card more than the customer. "
