"Near the ashram and temple. 4 min walk. So very good location. Staff are very friendly and go Above and beyond to care like you are part of their family! Elderly mother and myself had severe food poisoning and they got us medicines, even came to the room to check on us. Their breakfast is fresh daily cooked meals. Highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with family! "

"La Plege is a lovely place with a great location, perfect for enjoying Pondicherry’s beaches and nearby attractions. The staff is very friendly, and the overall hospitality made our visit comfortable. A special mention to the Manager, who was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay. One small concern was about the sandwiches at the counter, which could be improved in terms of freshness and presentation. Apart from that, it was a pleasant experience and a nice place to relax."

"Beautiful rooms, very comfortable and nicely maintained. Interesting, historic building in great location - easy walking distance to many sights in White Town. Nice restaurant food and great cocktails, but a la carte breakfast was not available - only buffet, which was simple but good. Management very friendly and helpful however, restaurant staff not particularly attentive so service could be slow at times. But all in all a very nice place to stay in the centre of Pondy."

"A perfectly charming hotel with the friendliest, most thoughtful staff of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We were there five nights in a spacious room with beautiful appointments. The pool is perfect for cooling off in the afternoon. The front desk arranged a sailboat cruise for us and yoga every morning on the roof at 6:30 AM. I can’t wait to come back to this dreamy place a block from the ocean. "

This is a great location for a walkable distance to the French quarter as well as a number of restaurants. The breakfast is simple but good. Ceiling fan and air conditioner keep the room cold. A water kettle and cups are also available in the room as well as basic toiletries. Worth a stay. Lovely building and rooms. The wala need some fresh paint, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
