Historic Family Style Homestead Cabin

Quaint cabin on private 230 acre ranch. Snowmobiler and Cross/back country skier can directly access Forest Service Land from our ranch.
Built by original Norwegian homesteader. Sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 queens and trundle twins. Recently renovated bathroom and new gas stove update the look of this first non-log cabin built in the upper swan valley. Cabin layout may require some concessions to frontier lifestyle as first residents built cabin with pragmatism in mind. See pictures for more clarity. Part of 3 cabin set on Meadowland Ranch: The Lazy Bean, The Homestead Cabin and The Hunters Cabin all listed in the VRBO

We enjoyed the quietness. Couldn't hear traffic or even farm equipment. We enjoyed seeing wild life also. At the night, the sky was clear and we could see all the stars. They looked like they were supercharged with brightness. Andy, the owner was beyond great. We got there too late to buy food at the local grocery store, so he brought us food to get us by. His generosity and care were unmatched. We would definitely go back when we are in the area again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Homestead. It is possibly the only place I have stayed that had enough pillows. Location is perfection and we hope to return in the warmer months to explore the area.

I stayed 2 nights by myself, son Brian his wife & 4 daughters were able to stay just 1 night The cabin was wonderful. We were able to bbq shish ka bobs & roast marshmallows in the kettle bbq.
