For us just a short stay passing through but definitely seems like a good choice for longer stays especially if one plays golf and wants to enjoy the closby activities.
Very good stay, comfortable and courteous staff. Great food for supper and breakfast. Nice grounds and easy to get around. Room comfortable and clean. Will stay there again
What an incredible experience. From the friendly staff, the unexpected animal farm, excellent amenities to the sense of luxury. A wonderful family gem that we will look to frequent.
My family enjoyed our stay at the Ranch resort. The golf chalet was extremely spacious, well laid out, and clean. We were greeted in the chalet with fruits and 2 bottles of wine- very nice touch. The hotel is also very lush with lovely plants and trees all over. The only down side was that the activities were a bit pricey. Otherwise we would definitely stay at the resort again.

Good hotel but poor housekeeping
Initial check in extras were not in room. Lounge and dining areas were locked, had to go back to reception to get it unlocked. No shampoo etc in bathrooms. Had 2 rooms booked, the 1 had extras like welcome drinks the other did not. Bathroom drains in shower blocked.

Great resort but really poor service
The resort itself is great and accommodation is comfortable and facilities decent.
Service was disappointing from reception where their service wasn't great, the attitude was like they didnt really want to help but were forced to. To the house keeping staff, they come early when still waking up, they asked what time they should come back, go out to pools and when return (3 hours after they supposed to clean) they still didn't clean the room. Have to phone housekeeping to get them to come clean, they clean the bedrooms and bathrooms but not even properly, tea, coffee, toiletries and towels not restocked. Not sure when last they vacuum the carpets. They didn't even go to the kitchen, had to call them back to do that. Couch in lounge is supposedly sleeper couch, but after you lift those cushions and see all the staff accumulated there you'll think twice about sleeping there.
On check out called for late check out, they tell me 11am (which is normal check out) when I tell the lady that, she says she is going to call me back, I'm still waiting. Check out process was like they couldnt care less and they just there because they had to be.
The spa is off site, they dont answer their phones, try their website booking enquiry they call back about 18 hours later so pretty useless as well.
Ground staff are quite friendly and helpful.
Beautiful, peaceful accommodation with tons of activities and attractions for the whole family.
Requires a few modern updates such as Smart TV. Wifi is also not consistent.
What an absolute gem. Everything was perfect. Starting at the entrance gate to the reception, room, restaurant. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Will definitely be back with the family.
The room I was given had a dirty carpet which made the whole room stuffy, after complaining, the guy who checked me in (Andrew) was very helpful. He organized another room without carpet for me. The room was extra clean, and the bed very comfortable. It was the revamped side.
Amazing new revamped rooms. Lucky to have stayed in one. Friendly and professional service. Clean and wonderful bed linen. Only criticism is that the bed was horrible and very well slept in and the food was average, my rump was incredible tough. Will definitely come again.
I had the worst experience at this place, the staff was so disappointing and dogey.
I booked online for a beautiful hotel room with garden view and a balcony. Looked nice on booking.com however when I got to reception the guy drove us to outside rooms/chalet with flying bugs and he was literally kicking them off the entrance. I told him it's not the Room I booked on the internet, he said he was just doing us a favour by offering us a nicer Room. I refused then he took us to another Room which was not the best in terms of cleanliness and everything I saw online but I accepted. No garden view and balcony. I was fine with it. I then booked on Saturday on booking.com this time it was a king bed room and I had to pay for it online and I did I trust bookinng.com I use it all the time. When I got to the reception same guy says there are no rooms available but he do us a favour and find me a single room, my friend asked if it was the same price and the guy changed the story and said I actually didn't have a booking as I haven't paid, told him and showed him the confirmation and text from the bank, he had asked for a booking confirmation number which I gave him and he starts blaming the website which is a lie he then called the manager I think who was very rude and not informed as he refused to listen to me about online payment he said it's impossible, it's over an hour now of back and forth to get accommodation which I paid for. I will be sending an official complaint this was painfu
The hotel is perfect but had the problem with the door which we could not open every time we had to go to the reception for them to ask someone to open the door room 90. The poor service is based on the door that could not open with the key they gave us.

A Resort that is willing to listen
There was a huge improvement on the Resort as compared to our previous visit. Priscilla at the front desk was superb and helpful. Great meals at the Restaurant. Golf suites always spacious and great for a family. Beds & linen were comfortable. Furniture & fittings were kept in good condition, so as the garden. However, the Rooms, especially, the bathrooms are not cleaned properly. There was a lot of old dead insects as well as some spider-webs around the unit. Crumbs of food-stuff were never cleaned on the couches. The Resort ticked most of the correct boxes with an exception of the Housekeeping. Some very visible cracks in the unit need some attention. Room service will also make a huge difference.
This is not my first time here, but every time I come here, I find the people very welcoming. The decoration and landscape are the best. Rooms are well airconditioned. Polokwane is hot.
