  • Welcome to this historic house on Pollença’s most iconic street: the Calvario.

    Casa Maria is a traditional house brimming with character. It features a stone facade and an arched entrance leading to two riveted wooden doors. You can feel its charm from the very first step. In the past, it was a famous artisan embroidery shop, as well as a home. It has a total area of 300 square metres spread over 4 floors and is located at the crossroads of Calvario and Ferrà streets.

    Calvario Street is located in the old town of Pollença. It is a unique street: a flight of 365 steps reserved exclusively for pedestrians. However, since it’s a corner house, you also have the option of reaching it by car via Ferrà Street. It also has a garage that can accommodate a small car.

    Nevertheless, we recommend not using your car, since you’ll be right in the centre of town and just a five-minute walk from the Plaça Mayor (the main square), where you can enjoy a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and a delicious ice cream shop.

    All rooms are equipped with air conditioning units. On the ground floor, you’ll find a large entryway decorated with antique and vintage furniture, featuring windows overlooking Calvario Street. The entryway leads to the bedroom with a double bed, which has an en-suite bathroom and a mezzanine perfect for relaxation. This floor features original flooring made of handmade stones quarried from the Majorcan coast.

    On the ground floor, you’ll find a queen-sized bedroom facing outward, with hardwood floors, plenty of natural light, and a balcony window overlooking Puig de Pollença. Adjacent to it is the cream marble bathroom with an integrated bathtub.

    On the same floor is a spacious living room featuring a cast-iron stove and two large windows offering great views. The adjoining kitchen is spacious enough to accommodate a round table for four people; it is fully equipped and has a separate pantry for storage. Next to it is the laundry room, featuring a newly purchased washing machine and dryer (both Bosch) as well as a clothesline.

    The upper floor features a terrace with a shower and two generously sized bedrooms with large windows, offering an impressive panoramic view. The master bedroom features an office area; since it faces entirely outward, it offers magnificent views of the village of Pollença. The cherry on top is the hydromassage jacuzzi, from which you can enjoy the unique landscape!

    On the top floor, there is yet another terrace with a porch and a barbecue, inviting you to relax and take in the surroundings of El Calvari.

Casa Maria has it all! Location, amazing house with breathtaking views and the most hospitable hosts! This beautifully appointed house provides a quiet and convenient setting in the heart of Pollença. Casa Maria old world charm offers all of the amenities necessary to have a very comfortable stay. Close enough (4-5 minutes walk) to the historic time square where you can find good restaurants, little boutiques and far enough to enjoy picturesque views and a peaceful morning coffee on it’s roof terrasse. We cannot say enough about our hosts, Joana and Rafael. Great communication throughout the entire process, very accommodating and easy to work with and especially helpful in providing great recommendations! At our arrival, they went above and beyond by greeting us, giving us a walk through of the home making sure that we had everything we needed, and even surprising us with a nice gift basket! They made us feel right at home! So thoughtful and much appreciated!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, for your warm hospitality and for helping us make unforgettable memories! Truly a memorable stay. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Perfect spacious house in fabulous location

My family and I (7people) stayed in Casa Maria over Christmas and had a wonderful stay. The location couldn’t have been more idyllic, set towards the bottom of the historic Calvari steps in the heart of Pollenca, close to the square. The house is large with four floors, one of which is a comfortable roof terrace with superb views over the town and the Puig de Santa Maria. The three double bedrooms and the twin are lovely, one of which has the most amazing panoramic view. There’s plenty of space for cooking, dining and relaxing inside, and the whole place is tastefully decorated. Everything worked as it should (heating, dishwasher, security etc.) and the hosts were very helpful when meeting us and communicating through the stay. There is free parking a 5-10minute walk away and also some limited parking very close by (as well as the garage) if you have a small car to navigate the very tight lanes of the old quarter. We can’t wait to go back!
