It wasn’t clear in the listing how far the house was from the water. It is a short walk but details should be a bit clearer. We brought our own kayaks but the small road to the beach was blocked off for reasons unknown. The ponds are cute but very small and not interconnected. It was amazing that...

"My spouse and I decided to stay further outside of the city visiting Montreal for extra peace and quiet. It was nice to wake up and drink our coffee next to the lake. The home is well-appointed without being flashy. The beds were firm and comfortable—plenty of amenities including a fully appointed kitchen and cookware. The host was prompt and attentive, offering us to stay past checkout if needed. 10/10 would recommend."

"What a fantastic treehouse surprise! Absolutely beautiful and truly in the forest but steps away from a lovely sauna and hot tub, and the nicest host even has four laying hens! The route we took included some 1-2km twisty dirt road and felt like a real adventure. We stayed here for a romantic birthday two night stay while taking an excellent blacksmithing course at nearby Vans Blacksmithing in Hawkesbury, and stayed another day for open forge time. "Our check in was not what we had expected, but Amanda was very responsive to the issues we encountered. She was very quick to respond to our questions and tried to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. The set up was great and the kids really enjoyed having their own space in the basement.
