Bed and Breakfast in Podgora

"We had a wonderful. peaceful 6 days in this villa and could have stayed here for our whole holiday. The house itself was beautifully presented with so much attention to detail. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we could need. The pool area is amazing with fantastic views over the sea to the islands. My teenage sons enjoyed the small gym area although the wonderful weather meant we didn't need to use the sauna. The fantastic BBQ area and outside kitchen meant we ate in most evenings, after which we could enjoy family games of pool in the games room. Magda and Alen were great hosts, very responsive and helpful. There was bread, fruit and meats waiting for us on our arrival and a waters edge table and complementary desserts when we ate at their restaurant which is well worth a visit.The villa is in a great location to visit Split, Dubrovnik and take boat trips the islands. We also did white water rafting during our stay and visited some secluded quiet beaches. All in all the villa exceeded our expectations and was even better than the photos portray. "The most phenomenal accommodation with a view I think is unbeatable. I would never tire of the view. It’s very luxurious accommodation. Well equipped with a lovely local busy town. Perfect for exploring too. Had wonderful trips to Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir, Plitvice as well as coastal towns. Gorgeous coastal routes and easy to get to from the airport. "

"The BEST SERVICE & THE CLEANEST hotel we have stayed in for many years!! The room was fantastic - very large. Very comfortable - very well equipped. Air con was fantastic, fridge for cool drinks. Great showeroom! Pool with an amazing view. The guys who run this place were easily the most professional, hospitable and considerate we’ve ever met anywhere in the world. The food was fabulous. "We initially had some difficulties finding the villa, probably just not trusting the sat nav but a quick phone call to Vlado reassured us that we were on the right road. On arrival Vlado then showed us round his family holiday home and he and his villa typify the Spanish saying "mi casa es tu casa". The villa is spotlessly clean and also stays cool needing only a quick blast of the aircon in the bedroom at night on a week when the temperatures were in the low 30's. The villa is a little further from the coast than we perceived but in reality it is 7 minutes drive to Podgora beach. The plus side of this is equally it is very quiet. You'll get the odd hiker passing by on one of the network of hiker trails but apart from that the only noise is from the swallows flying around the property.A few quick recommendations; take the ferry from Drvenik to Hvar, about 4 each way as a foot passenger. Lovely and quiet, take the car to explore further.The restaurant at Hotel Medora on the beach does lovely food and has a nice friendly atmosphere. Also there is a quaint little restaurant on the road to Dubrovnik called Borovik, he only takes cash though.Vlado left us to our own devices during the week but answered any questions quickly over text or whatsapp.We will be back to Croatia and would recommend Vlado's villa"

"This was a wonderful hotel with excellent amenities. Amazing staff and service. The room was amazing with the walk out infinity pool. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer at this property. We are definitely coming back."
