"The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful with questions about things in the hotel. I asked where the ice machine was for rooms on 1st floor?I was told I must take elevator and go to 2nd floor area where drink and snack machines r located, it's located beside them. It worked out 1st day. On day 2 one of the 2 elevators to go to floors 2, 3, and 4 was out of service. A bit inconvenient to get ice. but things break down, Ok. Breakfast was good, with enough options to choose from. I didn't use the outdoor pool, but people were in it dly, only ordered to get out during rainand lightning/good practice. The room was a bit musky and it could somewhat be due to the fact the carpeting is old, has permanent stains, and/or due to hurricanes and other storms the ground level floor may have been flooded, some time in the past. Don't know why the room smelled musky. The beds and mattresses were beyond wonderful as well as the bed quilt. Very nice touch. The sheets, pillow cases and bedding smelled freshly washed."

"The Inn at Oriental was an excellent choice for us. It's within walking distance of almost everything we needed. It's well maintained and beautifully decorated. Our room was super comfortable and Lindsay helped us settle in immediately upon arrival. Thank you Lindsay for your smile and hospitality. We'll be back!"

"We had such a fantastic time at this property. The home is beautifully maintained, comfortable, and in a perfect location right on the water. We especially loved the peace and quiet… it was ideal for unwinding. The sunrises over the sound were breathtaking every single morning, and having direct dock access made fishing convenient and fun (we were out there almost the entire visit!).The board games provided great evening entertainment for the family, and the kitchen and living areas were well-equipped for cooking and relaxing. Everything was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. We truly hated to leave and would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you for creating such a special place!Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing waterfront escape.For my fellow fishermen/women: we caught pinfish, croakers, seatrout, and big stingrays. Bring your cast net for all the bait you could need! Also grab some bug spray for the mosquitos that inevitably show up to annoy the heck out of you!If you happen to be traveling at Fourth of July… you are in for a treat! A neighboring home put on one of the biggest private fireworks displays I’ve ever seen!"

"The Boathouse is a beautiful, quiet, remote delight. The location is ideal for day trips to multiple historic towns.NC has a wonderful ferry to the OBX Ocracoke Island leaving from Swanquarter terminal. Since the location is remote by 20-30mins, we purchased food items in Belhaven and Swanquarter.Enjoy the natural beauty, beautiful sunsets, relaxing breathes from the boathouse boat dock or its elevated covered deck. Home was perfect! Host awesome!It was hard to leave, we can’t wait to come back!"

"An amazing respite. The cottage has been beautifully updated. It was so clean, comfortable and cozy. The hosts have thought of every amenity a guest would need. The fully stocked and prepared coffee bar was such a treat. And of course for me the star was the view. Sitting in a rocker on the full length screened in porch, looking at river and feeling the breeze was exactly what I needed. I’m already looking for dates to return!"
