"The room was very cold - lovely large size but difficult to heat in the winter. Good location. Unfortunately the restaurant was also closed in early December but the nearby town of Amboise was lovely."

"It was a great find for us! Amazing spot, great people, very good breakfast options in a charming dining area. You can have your breakfast in and out-doors. We didnt take dinner at the ai erge but i bet it was delicious! Next time we are definitely asking for dinner."

"This is a spacious and comfortable gîte on the outskirts of Amboise. There's ample parking on the driveway and you even get a private garage with electric door. The gîte itself had everything we needed, good WiFi, excellent bathroom, a large bedroom, and a small kitchen and sitting area which was fine. There's a lovely looking private pool too although we sadly didn't have time to use it. The owners are a very nice French couple who welcomed us warmly upon our arrival and had restaurant recommendations and local tips to hand. Genuinely there's nothing to complain about here, and if I find myself in Amboise again I'd book it again. "

"We decided not to stay here as the location was much too far from the town and had no river view. The official check in is 6pm which I find is far too late . We contacted Hotels .com and they refunded our payment which we appreciate. The place is probably ok for an overnight stay if not interested in visiting the chateau on foot. Definitely better to stay in Amboise ."
