"I was worried about the boat lines to Palomino Island during Easter Week/Spring Break. I shouldn't have, as they has boats every 30 minutes. Arrive by 11am to get a lounge chair on the island. Otherwise, lounge chairs free back up around 1:30pm or 2pm. Island was great. Hotel was at full capacity. Up top pools were packed, but the water park had space. Great place for families, as evidenced by how many there were. Lots of traveling up and down and up and down. I found the hotel restaurants outrageously expensive - even more than Hawaii. We never ate at the hotel. However, we walked 5 minutes outside the ferry launched and found 5 local restaurants that were more local, including one really local called El Ricar (I think). Definitely try to stay in the Marina area. Overall, there's lots to do and the hotel is huge. But you definitely pay, which adds up via taxes, resort fees and parking ($20US inc taxes). That said, there aren't too many resorts around, so would recommend, but know going in the place is on par with US / California type prices."
On the beach, a private pool, a house all to yourself.
10/10 Excellent
"The property surpassed our expectations. It was so nice to be right on the beach - while the beach is shared with a few other houses it feels like it’s your own private beach. While it’s not a swimming beach it’s perfect for walks, sea glass, shell, and rock hunting. Some of the best swimming beaches we have been to are less than a 15 minute drive across the island. The house is well appointed and accommodating to travelers. Having things like a cooler, ice packs, beach chairs, and lots of beach towels available for guest use are really nice touches. The kitchen has everything you need and the welcome basket is a very nice touch. The beds, pillows, and linens make all the difference in a rental and this one did a great job with their selections. We slept amazing- listen to the waves at night was a highlight. We took our teen daughter and elderly mother - we all very much enjoyed the week we spent on the island. There is a small amount construction going on next door, but they are very considerate of guests and did not bother us at all. The island is still rebuilding from the hurricane, while the progress feels slow it’s great to see the community investing in repairs and we look forward to seeing the progress when we return in a few years. Stunning waterfront, art deco family compound cascading to the water’s edge
10/10 Excellent
"“Family compound” is the perfect description of this place—ideal for a large group or multiple families. Our group of 14 (5 adults, 3 high school boys, 5 college-age girls) had plenty of room to spread out, and the layout balanced privacy with easy time together. Rooms and suites connect via outdoor spaces, and having a bathroom for every room was a huge plus. The main indoor area features a large kitchen and family room, plus two bedrooms (one queen, one with two twins), a full bath, and a half bath. An outdoor sitting area leads to another suite; downstairs are the pool and a large gathering space with two more queen suites; a few stairs down are two adjoining queen suites. One bathroom was "open air", which got a little dirty from plants/bugs. The rooftop lounge was spacious with an incredible view. The location is fantastic—walkable to/from the ferry terminal, grocery stores, bars, restaurants, car/golf cart rentals, and shops, with other attractions (bio bay, other beaches) a quick drive away. The property truly sits on the oceanfront, so you will hear the waves lapping (and sometimes pounding)! The coquí frogs’ nighttime chirps were a memorable touch. You'll hear morning roosters, but that's island life! Parking was easy for cars/jeeps/golf carts. The owner and property manager were responsive and shared helpful island tips. Highly recommended Vieques and this property!"
"Fully equipped, available beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and ice machine. Really nice and clean. Beautiful view, We really enjoyed staying at this Villa and we will definitely be booking again.

"The place is situated on top of a hill with good views of the ocean, relaxing environment. Nice rooms with good decor. Very helpful owner Penny and Kelly, who gave us a lot of useful information"
"The restaurant associated with this hotel had amazing food and views. The room was clean, the bathroom was updated, and the private balcony was nice to have morning coffee or dry your swimsuit. Situated close to a delicious breakfast restaurant, a 5 minute walk from the ferry, and a 10 minute golf cart ride from Flamenco Beach, you really couldn't ask for a better location."
Beautiful House with Renewable Energy and Tesla Powerwall, Close to Ferry
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay in Vieques. The homeowners were outstanding hosts. What we really appreciated was how well stocked the home was: spices, condiments, beach towels, beach chairs, a sunshade, a cooler, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and aloe. They had thought of everything, especially the things you may have forgotten. The home is tastefully decorated, and the highlight for us was the back patio. The landscaping is phenomenal! We ate and played cards on the back patio.Don’t bother looking at other rentals, this is the one! We highly recommend renting a car to explore the beaches."
