Planet Hollywood Costa Rica by Royalton, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
8/10 Good
"Need more things to do at resort. Need to be able to book a reservation at each resturant without them already full of reservations. That was a waste for us because we couldn’t eat at the restaurants we wanted to. Huge dissapointment!! And we feel like we deserve a refund or complementary stay so we can try the restaurants. Staff was friendly. Need better food at buffet and for breakfast. Need somewhere to get ice cream late at night when I want a snack."
"The property, the rooms, the restaurants were all what we expected it t be for a resort. The staff was not only friendly, but very responsive to any and all needs that arose during our visit. The food at all of the restaurants was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. A nice bonus was being able to enjoy the food and amenities at their sister property, RUI Guanacaste. We will definitely recommend RIU Palace, and will absolutely stay there again."
"Beautiful property and room! The pools are plentiful and never felt crowded—we saw a monkey!
Treat yourself to an evening sunset by the lobby bar—breathtaking!
The beach is ona beautiful cove. My kids enjoyed the rocky areas for “tidepooling” for hermit crabs, fish, etc. There is a nice reef right off the beach where daily snorkeling activities are available. We saw a puffer fish, some colorful tropical fish and a spotted ray.
Note the beach is public, but the locals are friendly and not loud. There are no loungers down close to the ocean (a little higher up on the sand close to the property, but not many people sat there). It was a tad of an annoyance to see 9 jet skis in the cove almost everyday. They are for rental. My family did enjoy them one day, however, 2 or three would suffice. 9 surely took away from the tropical island feel and I looked forward to each evening when they disappeared.
The room was luxurious and had everything you needed. We did purchase a 2 queens room with a small plunge pool—in hindsight sight we did not use it much and we noticed these pools were only on the first floors (preventing a better view). It did seem like there were only a few larger suites with a corner pool on the upper floors of buildings).
The dining was pretty good. The breakfast spread at TicoTica was great and unexpected. We enjoyed Peacock Alley to watch the World Cup USA game—a great vibe.
Kids enjoyed the pool with the slide and the teen room was cool.
Pura Vida!"
"The property had stunning views and was well maintained for an older resort. Food and drinks were just alright, but about what you can expect for the budget friendly price point."
"This hotel has an extraordinary views of Bahia Hermosa and the staff was very grateful as soon as I arrived they where able to get me accommodated to my room as soon as possible very friendly and comfy rooms"
"Everything was a dream. I’d say the only thing they could do to improve is change up the food. We were served the same thing everyday it was delicious just a switch of food would’ve been nice! Other than that everything was perfect!"
3.5 Million Dollar 3bd Condo Offering A Five Star Experience & Accommodations
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful condo with a spectacular view. The balcony was a highlight, and the property was clean and comfortable throughout our stay. Daily maid service was a great bonus. The host and concierge were attentive and responsive, and we loved the convenience of using the golf cart and being able to access nearby resorts for dinners and day passes. The bunk room was also a big hit with the kids. Overall, a very nice stay in a beautiful location."
