"Majority of my professional background is hospitality so I have expectations of service and quality when I stay at places. This hotel was fantastic; truly. Very chic and esthetically appealing. The front desk staff was very courteous, informative, to the point yet tried to make my check in personalized and friendly. We were informed the restaurant was open so we decided to stop by for apps and drinks- the bartender was great; continued to apologize for the small delay on our order and ensure she kept an eye on us throughout of lunch. The room was great, I really enjoyed the industrial design. I really enjoyed the standing shower and all the counter space. Great touch by having my name on the room TV screen upon my arrival. I would definitely return to this property. "

"Staff was amazing, just felt the actual rooms and resturant are no where nearly as nice as advertised or pictures show. I also didnt sleep well because they had about 200 screaming horribly behaved children and teens staying there for a sports event. They played man hunt up and down the halls and banged on my door multiple times at crazy hours. Screaming yelling riding elevators up and down. Hotel seemed to not care. Idk just didnt seem worth my 700$. "

"A downtown location with a fun and historic vibe. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The speakeasy bar had wonderful cocktails and a friendly bartender. Overall, good experience with helpful staff members. "

"Upon arrival, the staff was very nice and helpful. However, my room had clearly not been cleaned. The dishwasher had a very bad smell, the floor and bathtub were dirty, and the towels had not been replaced. The furniture was outdated and some pieces were missing fabric. Even the ice had hair in it. I reported these issues to the staff, who said housekeeping would come to clean the room. I left and returned later, but the room was still not cleaned. I complained again and spoke directly with the housekeeper while she was doing rounds; she said my room was not on her list. I also had to request towels and bed sheets myself. The next morning, a different staff member denied that the room had been dirty. Due to the poor cleanliness, lack of resolution, and outdated room condition, I chose not to stay the second night. "

"The Marriot Providence is a very nice place to stay. Gratis afternoon wine and apps and morning coffee in lobby an added plus. Staff helpful and Blue Fin restaurant were ex- ceptional. Only complaint was some difficulty accessing internet in our room which caused me to access an important voice message on my phone. All in all recommend! "
