"I arrived very late at night (2300). I tried to call the hotel to let them know but was unable to contact the hotel - the phone number wasn’t correct, so when I arrived the gate was closed. Apparently, you could slide the big gate open but I didn’t know that. When I did get in (a local person phoned the hotel), the staff were very nice and checkin was easy despite little English being spoken. The suite was huge with a full lounge, a huge bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen/storage area. Everything...

"When trying to check in receptionist kept asking if I booked with agoda she didn't even check on her computer. The manager came and said he couldn't find my reservation, then later he was able to find it.The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the room was super noisy."

"David is a wonderful host. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good airconditioner. This is a BnB, NOT a big hotel, so we did not expect all the additional amenities that hotels provide. We had a lovely time with David and his family, including his father, Georges, from Belgium. We even had dinner with them one night. David will drop you off in town and even recommend his favourite restaurants. We would definitely stay with David and his family if we came to Phonsavan again. WIFI was good. "

When I did get in (a local person phoned the hotel), the staff were very nice and checkin was easy despite little English being spoken. The suite was huge with a full lounge, a huge bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen/storage area. Everything worked and was very clean. Very comfortable. The view from the patio of room 01 was fabulous. The hotel was quiet, Breakfast was good and varied and fresh. The staff were extremely helpful and always professional and polite. They have a shuttle bus that took me to and from a museum (MAG office - google it - so interesting). Despite the initial arrival issues, I would stay here again and wish I’d had more time here."
