You'll find a few guesthouses and family-run accommodations here, often with traditional architecture and gardens. The area is quite spread out, so having a car is recommended for exploring further afield. For those seeking a quiet escape and a connection with nature, staying in a guesthouse on the outskirts of the village, perhaps towards the foothills, is an excellent choice. The days are long, giving you plenty of daylight for hiking, cycling, and visiting local attractions. It's also a great time to experience traditional Romanian festivals and outdoor markets in nearby towns.Winter, particularly from December to February, transforms the area into a snowy landscape, superb for those interested in winter sports. While Plăieșii De Jos itself is a quiet village, it's well-positioned for access to ski resorts in the broader Harghita region.
