"Sète is a little complicated as far as hotels. I was only in town to see the Brassens museum and gravesite, and also went to the Paul Valéry museum, which are quite far from the old town center, which is known for heavy traffic and scarce parking. It’s probably a two-hour walk round trip plus hills to see both museums. The location of the Imperial Hotel is convenient to both museums as long as you have a car. Parking in the public lot across the street is free from 7pm-9am and on Sunday. It’s less well located if you want a bunch of restaurants and bars around, although there is a highly-rated restaurant and highly-rated bistro within a block or two, plus a nice pizzeria next door and a so-so looking bar next to that and a mini Carrefour across the street. Besides that, there’s not much within walking distance unless you want to gamble at the casino. The staff at the hotel are very pleasant and welcoming, the building and rooms are clean and in good shape, and the off-season price was very good. It worked out well for me. "

"The area is stunning. The house is 1 min from the beach, and even the surrounding roads are beautiful. The garden/pool area is great too. Already figuring out how to come back!"

"Great location for the beach. Very spacious house but a few problems weren’t sorted that well. The property wasn’t ready when we arrived 4.5 hours after check-in and the host tended to come and spend an hour hours sorting things out including watering plants inside and out when he was sorting out problems. The shower in one room smelled in the morning for a week and we were eventually asked to put a circle is something over the drain to stop the smell! Over priced "
