"Room was clean but generally low quality across the board. No soap dish or shelf so shampoos and other items must be placed on the shower floor, show drain was bent with sharp edge that would hurt/cut a foot if unaware. holes in the wall were present, curtain dirty and stained. Very thin walls and sound transfers between units so you can hear your neighbors as if they're in your room Overall an okay, lower budget travel destination."

"Mariposa was a peaceful retreat. We stayed in one of the tree houses and enjoyed reading on the deck in the hammock in the afternoon. The staff were friendly and did a great job making it feel like home for the week."

"Sargassum seaweed lines the beaches throughout the Carribean and this beach is no exception. Also, sand flies and mosquitoes were prevalent in this area, requiring nets over the bed to sleep at night. The property was nice, but very expensive. "

"The resort is building a new event center (metal construction), new pool bathrooms as well as remodeling rooms. All the constructions make it very unpleasant to stay around the pool and also the beach. The rooms that are not remodeled are very dated and overpriced! Due to the algae in the water it is not pleasant to swim in the water. The staff were friendly but not very competent! Avoid this resort if you want a quiet and peaceful vacation but even without the construction, we would not go back to this resort. "

Beach at your front door, palm and coconut trees line the beach and pools that lead the dock where one can relax jn a hamock or swinging chair fir couples. The restraunts food is amazing...reserve early."
