Great relaxation

We enjoyed sitting by the pool or on the beach with chairs for every desire. Clean house and we enjoyed just being all by ourselves.

Paradise in paradise

We had the greatest experience. Beautiful property, beautiful beach. It was quiet we felt safe Easy access to Placencia. The owners were fabulous and made our check-in super easy. The food, the culture the excursions were all noteworthy.

Great stay in Belize!

The property is just as advertised. The house is clean and comfortable with amazing views of the sea during the day and star watching at night. The location was perfect for us. It's private and quiet and also close to many activities within a short drive. The hosts Phil and Angela were also great and provided lots of information about the house and things to do in the area. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely consider staying again in the future.

Wonderful Getaway

The property was located wonderful. We were located in a prime location for access to town as well as privacy! We loved the house and would definitely stay again and most likely will! Phil and Angela were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed!

Peace and quiet on the beach

Angela’s Landing was everything we hoped it would be! Angela and Phil are knowledgeable hosts and are very attentive of the property. 2 Queen beds wouldn’t be our first choice (both couples have a large man to accommodate) but the location away from crowds along with private pool was worth it for us.

Relaxing Stay in Belize

Had a wonderful time relaxing in Belize. Angel's Landing is a great location; far enough off the beaten path yet close enough to great restaurants and shopping. Angela & Phil are wonderful hosts. Very responsive and respectful about stopping by (always gave us a heads up) to clean pool or any other minor maintenance. Highly recommend.

Excellent location, beautiful home

The home is just as it is described, on the beach and in a beautiful location. It would have been nice to know that the only way into the house was up a steep, winding staircase so up older folks could have known what we had to deal with. Angela and Phil were the best hosts and responded to every question we had.

Beach Vacation

Our stay was amazing, we had so much fun in the pool. The beach is beautiful and the house had everything we needed to make some great memories. I love that the location is close enough to fun sightseeing adventures yet private. We rented a car which gave us the ability to do some sightseeing on our own and head to town when we wanted to. There’s a grocery store about 20 min away that had everything we needed and some great restaurants near by for when we didn’t want to cook. Can’t wait to go back!

Perfection

Angel's Landing exceeded all expectations. Angela and Phil were wonderful hosts, the property is well appointed and perfectly located. On the property, we felt like we were the only ones in town, kayaking, relaxing under the palapa, laying by the pool or reading a book under the trees next to the sea. Angel's Landing is an easy commute to local bars and dining (which we took advantage of, a lot) and easy commute to many excursions (Diving, Waterfalls, Ruins & Hiking). We cannot wait to visit Belize again and hopefully we can come back to Angel's Landing.

Private paradise

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Complete privacy while we were at the house, but close enough to drive to everything we wanted to do. We spent a ton of time in the pool and under the palapa. Did some cave tubing, went to see Xunantunich ruins, and did a snorkel trip with Splash Dive Shop… also very fortunate to have had amazing weather. The occasional rainstorm would roll through, but usually at night. Phil was a fantastic host - always available to answer questions and provide recommendations - And he had some good stories to tell! Thanks for sharing this amazing space with us and providing the basis for a truly memorable family vacation.

Great Stay North of Placencia

We had a great stay and enjoyed the property. The hut on the beach was fun and our boys loved playing football on the beach. Beautiful sunrises and nice walks. All around great location if you don't want to be directly in Placencia but within minutes and have your own car. A few notes: - DO NOT FOLLOW GPS! There is a rough dirt road that it may take you down, go passed that and you can take a paved / gravel road to the location. - The bedrooms are not closed off as the walls do not go to the ceiling so you can hear throughout the house. If you have a snorer, bring earplugs! - If you have bad knees you may struggle with the steep circular staircase that you need to walk up to get to the indoors.

Amazing accommodations and stress free!

Our hosts Angela and Phil were great. If we had any questions they answered them right away. Having the pool and beach was wonderful (the both of best worlds). We could fish off the beach, having the kayaks was an added bonus along with the Tiki Hut and the tower you could go up on the watch the sunrise and sunset. Just beautiful. One thing to note which we did not find out till our last week was there is a baker who comes twice a week on the street, someone selling fresh veggies and every Saturday they also stop by to see if you want meat. They had chicken, lamb, pork and I think juice as well. We bought the chicken twice and it was very good and tasty. Maya Beach was close to buy some groceries and the Bistro had great food. For a little change we went to the Jaguar Bowling Alley for supper one night and bowled a game. If you are looking for a quiet area this is it. We were there for two weeks and we did not want to leave. You will not be disappointed.

AMAZING property!!

If you are looking to be in the middle of a downtown area, this place is not for you! It is a private paradise, yet close to 2 lovely beachy towns with a laid back vibe (Placencia and Hopkins), as well as a great starting point for any adventure you could possibly want. The house is absolutely perfect, with views of both the Caribbean Sea and a lagoon, sunrise and sunset. The pool is a great size, and you can't beat the view!! The only downside while we were there (which happens everywhere, so no fault of anyone), but definitely worth noting, is the seasonal seaweed (or some other algae) that washes up on the shore. It definitely limited our beach time, and brought an unpleasant odor. It apparently only lasts a couple weeks at the end of March through mid April, so if you are looking to utilize the beach, I'd pick another time to go! If you are going just to have a beach view and use the pool, then this time would be great! Phil and Angie are perfect hosts, readily available to answer any questions and a great source for local information. We definitely look forward to returning one day!

Property is between 2 noisy construction sites.

House is as advertised. However, there are 2 houses being built/renovated in close proximity. Work done is noisy and dust floats to the pool. During our stay, work on one side continued through the weekend so we did not have one peaceful day. In addition, beach is littered with plastic and organic debris teeming with bugs. Water is muddy, so if you want to swim, pool is the only option. As it comes to amenities, there is no TV program. When we asked the owner, they told us that the fact that there is a TV set and some dvds is what they advertize as TV. Finally, internet was down for 3 days so we had to pay for addiitional packege to get news via our phones. Placencia is very nice, so if we decide to come back, we will choose one of nice resorts that are available on the peninsula.

Exactly what we were looking for!

When we decided to go to Belize, I wanted to stay on the mainland so that we would have to flexibility to both enjoy the beach, but also see Tikal and do some other mainland excursions. Angel's Landing was PERFECT for this. The house is beautiful. Clean, spacious (it's even bigger than the pictures make it appear), airy, relaxing, and comfortable....and that's just the inside. The "backyard" is just a dream. A poolside deck, a balcony deck (with doors to not only the living room, but to both bedrooms as well), and the extremely cool 'observation deck'. The backyard beach is great for so many reasons. There is enough sun that you can lay out in the sun all week long if that's what you wanted to do, but there are also enough trees that you can quickly get away from the blistering Belize sun and take cover in the shade where there is always the cool ocean breeze. The trees also provide privacy from the neighbors. The hammock under the thatched roof is a great place to take a little nap or just enjoy the sound of the gentle waves hitting the beach. We also has a blast taking the kayaks out into the ocean. Angela and Phil were great to deal with. I had originally booked my stay for a certain week but had to change it due to my wife's work schedule and Angela was totally understanding, switched the week for me right away, and didn't ask for a dime in the process. I had had a couple other questions during the booking process and Angela always got right back to me with answers. Don't ignore this listing just because Placencia village is about a 30 minute drive away (mainly due to the many speed bumps). A 30 minute drive to dinner down an oceanside road lined with palm trees seems like nothing when you're on vacation, and you'll have the benefit of having a thousand times more privacy than any place you book inside the village itself. I can't recommend this place enough. And do yourself a favor, if you book Angels Landing, make it a point to get yourself to Tikal for a day trip. (It is worth getting up at 4:30AM ...which I wouldn't say about too many things.) And don't worry, you can sleep late the following day and spend all day at the beach....without ever leaving the property. Thank you Angela and Phil!

Girls Trip 2025

What can I say about Angel’s Landing…the house was everything as described and more. Angela and Phil met us upon check in with hugs and big smiles. Four women on our first girls trip did not disappoint. The beds were comfortable, the ac worked amazing, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hosts will give you suggestions on good restaurants, tours and anything you need. They were super fast to respond.The pool was so inviting and relaxing (we left floats for the next guests). Plenty of lounge chairs and places to sit. We did not get in the Caribbean due to the seaweed (normal this time of year) and roughness of the water. Shopping in Placencia Village is a must! So many quaint shops run by the locals and many bargains to be found. We actually drove up there every day!The airport is just over a 2 hour drive, but there are “hopper” flights you can take; however, it is approximately an hour drive from the Placencia airport, so I would suggest renting a car and enjoying the sights.You cannot go wrong with Angels Landing! I can say with 100% certainty that I will stay there again when I return to Belize!

Great location and relaxing stay

Angel's Landing was in a great location to hike in the nearby national parks, explore southern Mayan ruins, and to catch the boat for our snorkel trip. The house and grounds are well maintained and clean. We appreciated the larger kitchen filled with amenities to accommodate eating in a few nights and making smoothies daily. The pool was a definite plus as the ocean was a bit turbid during our stay due to the recent storms. Angela and Phil were extremely helpful and responsive to our questions during our stay. Overall, we had an enjoyable and relaxing vacation in this bit of paradise!

Paradise for 4

Property was just as expected and we were greeted by owners as we arrived to provide a quick overview. Great owners! We rented a car and drove from Belize City; it was a nice drive. Easy to drive down to Placencia Village 30 min or Hopkins. We preferred this location verse being in the busy parts of town. The kids (12 and 15) enjoyed the pool and beach. We fished everyday from the beach and the kayaks were a bonus. We ate at the Green Parrot three times; highly recommend. (Cedric was the best). Overall, 10/10 was just what we were looking for.

Idyllic getaway on the beach

The house was clean, spacious and in a perfect location - in a quiet part of the Placencia peninsula (off the main road)- but we were a fairly short drive away from other destinations we wanted to visit. The kitchen was well equipped so we could cook and dine there. The outdoor dining area on the beach was also lovely. And the pool and kayaks were terrific bonuses. The house has great views and a nice balcony overlooking the pool and beach.Our host Angela went above and beyond in being welcoming and helpful throughout the process - providing info on local destinations, suggestions on car services... and especially when our daughter arrived early - drove her into town so she could get groceries.

We didn’t want to leave!!

This place is an absolute gem! It was our first time to Belize for our family of 4 (including a teen and pre-teen). We shopped locally and stocked the fridge and pantry with groceries for the week and the house had everything else we could possibly need. The views are outstanding and we felt like we had the entire peninsula to ourselves! We’ll have to come back another time to explore the ruins and waterfalls because this time we just enjoyed hanging out in the pool, on the private beach, and in Philville so much that we barely ever left the property! Thank you Phil and Angela for sharing your beautiful home, and a shout out to Tanya who was very quick and reliable to answer any questions that came up, we felt even safer knowing she was just two houses down.
