"Its hotel is very beautiful, has great restaurants around. It is right off of the Riverwalk and the staff is wonderful. The hotel pool is very small and I don’t think there was a hot tub. If you’re traveling with pet pets this hotel is pet friendly however the only place to potty them is along the Riverwalk, which if you have to do that at night or early morning, it can be very dicey as there was aIt’s hotel is very beautiful, has great restaurants around. It is right off of the Riverwalk and the staff is wonderful. The hotel pool is very small and I don’t think there was a hot tub. If you’re traveling with pets, this hotel is pet friendly however the only place to potty them is along the Riverwalk, which if you have to do that at night or early morning, it can be very dicey as there was a shooting right across from the hotel while we were there. There’s a fountain across from the hotel that goes all the way down past some nice restaurants and all the way down the steps to the Riverwalk, where people bring their children at night to hang out party, drink and smoke weed,and let kids swim in the fountain, which is a huge place for trouble to happen. Because of that reason I probably wouldn’t stay there again even though it is beautiful"

"Clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast: no milk available, no ketchup & no decaf coffee Pool was drained & closed, no mention of this when reserving. Most distressing: the area directly around the hotel was not safe , with questionable characters & activities. We were confronted on our way home from a ball game by a yelling, raving person. No police presence was seen along this very shaky stretch of Ohio st. Would not go back."

"This is the first time I have made a negative report about any hotel-- stay somewhere else. The property is a rehabbed luxury home from the late 1800s or early 1900s--probably the home of a Pittsburgh robber baron. There is no staff. We arrived about 2:00 P.M. and found an individual working in the restaurant kitchen who was able to get us to our room. The room was unique and only 34 stairs up a very old and steep staircase. The room had a window above the door that could not be shaded or blocked. As a consequence, the hall light made sleep almost impossible. I was also concerned about fire safety because there is only a single staircase--in the event of a fire, the staircase would be impossible to use. The concept of converting a luxury robber-baron antique home into a hotel is intriguing. Sadly, the concept failed miserably at this location."

"The room was spacious and clean. Bed was good. Bathroom had a slight mildew smell but looked pretty clean. Water was either cold or really hot with low water pressure. We only stayed one night so we made it work. Breakfast was super busy and smaller area so we skipped it."
