About this property

Historic Grand Loft Pittsburgh - unique - sleeps 8

  • There's nothing quite like this in Pittsburgh.

The centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind retreat is a breathtaking 2,200 square foot great room — an open, soaring space wrapped in warm hardwood floors and a striking tin ceiling, anchored by a large conference/dining table, multiple lounge areas with leather seating, and a large TV wall. Whether your group is here for a weekend together, a team offsite, a family gathering, a creative retreat, or just needs room to breathe, this space delivers in a way that no ordinary rental can.
Sleeping is covered for up to 8 guests across multiple areas: a private king bedroom, a loft with a futon, and additional sleeping in the living space via a daybed and futon — flexible for however your group wants to spread out.

The bathroom is a showstopper — fully renovated with floor-to-ceiling marble-look tile, a glass-enclosed walk-in shower with brushed gold fixtures, a double vanity with quartz countertops, a backlit LED mirror, and spa-style finishes throughout. The kitchen features navy shaker cabinets, butcher block countertops, a gold faucet, and is stocked with a stovetop, microwave, full-size refrigerator, and air fryer.

Self check-in makes arrival seamless — your door code will be sent ahead of your stay.

    The space works beautifully for:

    The Neighborhood

You're steps from South Park — one of Allegheny County's crown jewels, with over 2,000 acres of trails, a wave pool, an 18-hole golf course, an ice skating rink, playgrounds, and open green space. It's the kind of park that turns a weekend stay into a real getaway without ever leaving the area.

Beyond the park, you're centrally positioned in the South Hills with quick access to Route 51, putting you about 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, the South Side, PNC Park, and Acrisure Stadium. Close enough to do everything Pittsburgh has to offer — quiet enough to actually relax when you get back.

Great facility, I assume it used to be a community hall, owners did a fantastic job with the renovation. Quiet neighborhood, if you sleep with windows open there are no city noises like other Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Great AC, bathroom, plenty of room for family board or card games. Also plenty of parking - many rentals in Pittsburgh only have space for one car, sometimes barely two. And often (with other places) you're depending on street parking, where anyone can park. Great communication with host too.

Definitely a one of a kind, unique, historical property. First thing we noticed was the sweet smell upon entry. The couches and white recliner chairs were so comfortable. Only one of the two couches were plugged in, so the recliner/massage/heat feature was not working on the one. I was a bit worried that the two air conditioners wouldn't be sufficient for the space, but I was oh so wrong. The temperature was perfect for us. We were a family of four traveling to visit family nearby. Absolutely PLENTY of space for our comfort. Another great feature for me was the motion sensor/defrost setting on the bathroom mirror. Only a couple negatives, and they are so minor. Toilet paper was super thin perhaps one ply. And for the life of me, we could not get the lights to stop flickering. If you only turn on the left side, it was okay. But if you want it all lights on at the same time they will for sure flicker. All and all, I would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you Sean.
