Enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. Accommodations were comfortable, everything we needed was provided, even an extra chair we needed for visiting family. We hope to visit again.
Property is a little tricky to find but the owner provides very detailed instructions. We pinned the location and it was easy from there on out! This is such a cozy cabin type home and just enough of everything to have a great stay. Kitchen was sufficient to prepare plenty of food for my granddaughters birthday as they all live in the Pittsburgh area. Clean, lots of towels, and kitchen supplies to cook. It was salted and cleared for our visit which was really appreciated. Plus we were able to bring our doodles-more like our second children with us. A terrific stay and we hope to be back again
Had a great stay! Cabin was super cozy and VERY well stocked. Convenient location as well for us spending one day in Pittsburgh and one day in Mars. If I’m ever back in the area, I will most certainly be back!
This cabin was nice, clean and private. It was perfect for our family and close to where we wanted to go. We would definitely stay again when in the area. The owner was very nice and available if needed. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.
Loved the cabin and seclusion. Everything was as listed and was very authentic. The owner takes great care to ensure the stay is a good experience. We'll be back!
Great, private and clean little cabin close (15-20 minute drive) to downtown Pittsburgh. Plenty of dining options close by, but the kitchen is fully stocked of we wanted to prepare our own meals. Loved how quiet the location was and even more so, I loved all the fresh cut flowers in the cabin. The cabin definitely had a nice persoanl 'homey' feel. Would stay here again.
If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful spot to stay in the Pittsburgh area that's close to everything, but away from the noise, noise, noise, this is THE place. Fabulous, responsive hosts, a comfortable, well-stocked cabin with walking paths and beautiful pond. It's all waiting for you here.
Beautiful and very quiet location, with lots of paths for walking down the hill to a blissful pond with the dog. It's a great, peaceful area that's about 10 minutes from Oakmont and 20-30 minutes from downtown, the Strip, and museums. The house is quite nice with parking right outside the door. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher, but that's a minor inconvenience. Bed was fairly comfortable, though I'm not a fan of foam mattress toppers.Check-in/out was a breeze, and Diane responded promptly to texts with my questions. Should I return to Pittsburgh, this would be a top choice to stay again.
This was a perfect place for me, my husband and dogs to stay! Centrally located to many great spots in The Burgh! Family came to visit and had a nice dinner as it had all that was needed for cooking. Grocery stores/restaurants were less than 15 minutes away. The grounds were beautiful! Plan to book again!!
The cabin was a true delight. Nestled in a quiet part of Harmarville over looking the Fall colors. The cabin was comfortable cozy and warm feeling. We had our dog and she loved the big yard. The inside was clean and had all the essentials we needed. It was located in a central location for us because we spent most of our time in Fox Chapel .we would definitely come back
Just WOW! What an incredible place to stay. We were coming to town for our son's wedding and bringing our dogs, as always. As soon as I saw this listing, I knew it would be perfect. We were 10 min away from the venue, the cabin is so lovely and comfortable (even the night we had 6 people), and the property is stunning! The dogs loved walking the property, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee, listening to the birds. So incredibly peaceful, you'd never know you were that close to downtown Pittsburgh!Diane is an awesome host. She always responded right away when I had questions, was extremely accommodating, and she is a very kind person. I will absolutely stay here when I travel to the area with my dogs again. Thank you for hospitality :)
I enjoyed my two weeks at the cabin while in the Pittsburgh area to ride several bike trails. Got to watch several deer, a Cooper's hawk and a few squirrels. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. I would stay at this cabin again. It was generally very quiet except for the occasional loud vehicle on the road which the owner is not responsible for or does not have control over.
Two things to be aware of
1) the tree (not sure what kind) near the cabin (at least in June) drops little blooms which sometimes stuck to my vehicle, so it got run through the car wash multiple times during the trip
2) where the steep driveway meets the road with a 35 mph speed limit, approaching traffic from the driver's side is coming up a hill so you don't see them until they are relatively close and approaching traffic from the passenger side is very difficult to see because of the cabin owner's privacy fence and trees are close to the road. Never had a close call getting out but I generally didn't leave before 8:30 AM.
The place and experience was lovely. The property owner was helpful and accomodating and let us know procedures to follow considering we had severe weayher conditions.
We loved the location, near a big city but still had the country charm. It was so quiet, and seeing all the wildlife was a big plus. Diane is an awesome host!!
