"We had a small wedding here in the first week of October, and everything about this villa exceeded our expectations! To start, the property and surrounding area is unbelievably beautiful. Barga and Castelnuovo are hidden gems that had great restaurants and sights to visit. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain, and has stunning views of the valley. Our favorite was the morning fog that rolls in! The villa itself was perfectly updated, while retaining its Tuscan charm. We were able to comfortably fit family and friends in the individual apartments that allowed for hanging out but privacy also. However the best part of our stay at the villa was interacting with the owner, our wedding coordinator Marie (through Tuscan retreats), and the staff. They immediately treated us like family and were extremely generous! They cooked our wedding reception dinner as well as the pizza night. The food was up there with some of the best meals we’ve ever had, and the service felt like fine dining! They were so understanding and gracious with all of the chaos that comes with a wedding, and for that we’ll be forever grateful.We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking about getting off the beaten path in Tuscany, we certainly can’t wait for our next visit!"

" Just Fabulous! It is difficult to put into words how wonderful this couple is and what they have created! Angela and Simone are the kindest most beautiful souls. The love they have for their home and project is second only possibly to the love and passion they have for life and the magic of Food! Once again it is difficult to put this into words. That being said we just returned from three weeks in Italy and we discovered, laughed and ate our way around this country and we did it well! The food in Italy is truly amazing, and I can say that without a shadow of doubt that the best food we had the entire time we were in this lovely country came out of Angelas Kitchen! This is no easy win. We had some incredible food experiences but Angela and Simone are hands down the absolute best. In our little group of late 40 year old adventurers, the discussions and consensus was that it was the best dinner anyone in our group had ever had..in life..period. (we live in Canadian wine and foodie country) Ok ok enough about food.I got sidetracked there. It happens. The property and amenities in this villa are 5 star. They truly have created an Oasis.I could go on about this but will not as I feel you only will appreciate this and deserve the oasis and kindness of these hosts if you take the leap!If you are looking for the best basecamp in Tuscany to explore and adventure around with your partner, family or friends then you found it. "We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table too! Just a great stay, everything we hoped for. "
