The accommodation was great and the hosts, Patrizia and Peter were amazing, kind, and helpful. We will go back to see them when the weather is cooler. Since the weather was exceptionally hot, we were very grateful to have air conditioning at night for sleeping. The house is about 7 tenths of a mile from the bus stop and sea. We would leave in the morning to catch the bus to the train station, and catch the train for day trips.
Please note that the listing does not specify that you pick up the key in another town. This required us to get off the train in Viareggio, stow our luggage, and find our was to Interhome in Lido di Camaiore. Luckily, Patrizia called them before we left so we could we could leave the key with her and avoid this step on the return trip. If you use public transport like we do, this can be costly.
Overall, we highly recommend the accommodation. Close to food, transportation, and our favorite Bar Capriccio. Patrizia and Peter exude the type of character that we keep going to Italy for. That alone makes it worth the stay.
