1. Great range of restaurants around this location.
2. Boat trips, water taxi is within walking distance.
3. Excellent service thanks to Liudmila.
On the dark side , the beach is around 35 min walk, there was no air conditioner (had two fans instead), facilities was very basic and rooms are small.

"Love Monchique resort & spa, clean, staff are very welcoming especially Pedro the guest relations manager. Very big room with 2 bathrooms & a great view with a terrace. Full amenities in the room just missing a washing machine for the clothes. 2 pools & a gym with fitness classes. Beautiful surroundings, great hotel, I would definitely suggest it or even go back, thank you Monchique resort & spa, we loved our stay the Pereira family!"
"It was very peaceful setting to spend three days just relaxing up in the Highlands.
You definitely need some form to reach the hotel and if you want to eat out in the evening the nearest restaurant was about a 1/2 mile away.
It was a bit too cool to use the pool, but it sure looked inviting."
