I liked everything in this hotel. Nice location, walkable distance to shopping and restaurants and quiet at the same time. VERY NICE BREAKFAST!!! The building is old but clean! 24 hours reception with English speaking people (they always ready to help). The only one thing we didn’t like- one lady at the bar was asking higher price for drinks and ice cream (the price was lower at the menu)

The property was right across from the bay so there was easy access to the beach. The pool was nice and the food as the breakfast buffet was good. Supposedly we were given an upgrade and our room had a nice little patio at the pool. This was great because I could hardly stand to be in the room - it was damp and musty smelling with lots of little flies. I mentioned the fly problem to the staff and they may have sprayed the room but I really couldn't tell. We finally left the closet light on which seemed to draw them. We had a two night stay before a cruise and I honestly did not know if I could stand a 2nd night. We survived but I would not recommend this hotel based on the room experience.

It was ok.Nothing amazing but it did the job.Upon arrival I was given a welcome drink. But the check in process took forever .It looked like they couldn’t find my booking. Eventually it was found once I showed them my Hotels.com information. I had requested a modern room with a view of the beach / pool and this was granted. The room itself was decent and not too small. Queen bed, TV, luggage and bench space. Bathroom was fine, although shower is in the bath itself. Upon arrival I realised that there were no towels. I went back to reception to request them. When I came back I noticed they had simply dropped off one towel. So I had to go back to reception to request a full set of hand towels,bath towels etc. Staff were nice enough, but I certainly didn’t experience the “amazing service” that other people have raved about. They really didn't go out of their way at any stage. The pool is large however I found swimming in the evening more enjoyable. Breakfast buffet is great. selection of both Asian and Western food. Fried eggs available,however they can also be made to your specific order. Bacon, Sausages, pancakes, fried bananas, cereals, breads, pastas, rice,noodles. So much to choose! Aircon and wifi works well. Lighting and power outlets in room could be improved.10 min walk to the busy main street. Would I recommend this resort, yes if you can get a good price for it. But I would rate it as 3.5 not a 4.0 It is nothing flash or amazing, but it wasn't terrible either.

The staff said they upgraded my room to deluxe. Ha! The room was dirty. The mini bar had two wine bottles on display. I could write my name in the dust on the bottles. The room had a heavy spray of room deodorizer. I couldn’t stand the smell. Asked to have my room changed. They did so and the second room was much better. The breakfast was terrific. Location was terrific.

Can understand why there is a difference in customer comments. Basically they have new and old rooms. I stayed in an old room, my friends had a wonderful new room (we booked the same room type). My room was dirty - the bathroom in particular. The housekeeping is bad. A room service tray was left for 3 days by housekeeping. Room has a lot of cockroaches due to the uncleanliness. My friends room had no cockroaches. On the bright side the location is good and the bar prices are cheap. Food is ok, nothing special. Would rate as a 2-3star.

Friendly staff, location is ok but there are nearer ones to Bangla road if you want to be in the action, this is a 20 min walk from there. Rooms were damp and had roaches. Breakfast was plentiful and many choices. The room had no iron but their is a safe and loads of toiletries

Relaxing stay
Overall a good place to stay . Clean ,good breakfast would have been better if there was some fans going in the dining area. only have about four tv channels and no in house movies which would be nice as a relaxing break .Nice clean pools but a lot of noise from the road from hoons on motor bikes 'but that can't be helped. A bit of a climb up the stairs to reception with your bags and a few more if you have a room on the second or third floor. all rooms face the ocean which is good and is a nice walk to the hassle and bustle of the main drag . We got a taxi out from the airport ,cost Bht 700 around $28 Australian ,but got a mini van bus back for around $13 Aus for 2 people you can book this at the airport or in Patong at one of the tour ,also barter on the price. As I said overall a nice relaxing stay

Great Place to Stay
One of the great things about Thailand is that for the price of a pretty scungy hotel in Australia, you can get a decent room in what is effectively a resort, and that is the case with the seaview Patong. First of all it is right next to the beach, even though the beach on this part of the island isn’t that flat. There are two pools, though one of the pools is just a sit in a relax type of pool, and they also have a restaurant and complementary breakfast (though with the restaurant they only offer a buffet option). What stood out though were the staff, particularly the manager, who would wander around in the morning greeting all the guests by name, and also reminding them of their itinery for the day. Mind you, it is a little out of the way, but then again it is Patong Beach, so you may not want to be too close to the action.

It was a last minute decision to stay here. We enjoyed the swimming pool. You have to pay for internet in the room. The front staff recommended to visit Paradise beach with free shuttle. We decided to give it a try, we were disappointed. Paradise beach charges you a fee to enter and they take your water away just so you are forced to purchase water from then. There are ants and large crabs on the beach, the water is dirty and the dogs are chasing the swimmers. They charge 500 baht for a chair rental or 100 baht for a small chair. It is NO paradise beach.

The front desk staff are the most useless staff I have every encountered. The room was ok the toilet didn't flush and the shower would go from cold to scolding hot in a matter of seconds and was uncontrollable. The breakfast was very average and the location was just OK. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Loved this hotel. Great value for the money. We loved our bedroom view overlooking Patong beach and poolside. (Room 207). Friendly staff. Huge breakfast buffet included. Wifi in bedroom is a. Extra fee. That was the only drawback for me. Clean rooms.

Room was damp the walls floor were wet and our bed and clothes became damp through the condensation. We reported this and we did not get any response. Checked out early and staff were apologetic but our stay was dissapointing. Unfortunately it cost us to book at another hotel.

Convenient location at south end of Patong beach
Very nice natural wood styling. Balconies over look pool and across the street is the ocean with beach access at low tide. This is an older economy hotel with better than average design and fairly well maintained. The internet access is limited by speed and access from room. I was able to use a neighboring hotel. Booking on line is a must for a better price. They expect it and will help. I used Expedia. Their internet is so slow my payment was difficult to make because my computer would "time out" Parking is easy. The night life is close by using local Tuk Tuk service. (small pick up trucks). Must know prices before riding. Overall it worked very well for me and my Thai wife who grew up on Phuket Island.

Great hotel with stunning seaviews
We had a wonderful two weeks at the Seaview Hotel, and if we returned to Patong again we would definitely stay there. It's a beautiful hotel with fabulous views over the sea if you're in a higher floor room. For us, the location was perfect. Situated on the quiet end of the beach but still only minutes from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is next to a couple of bars and restaurants, convenience stores and chemist (great for buying stronger than the UK deet insect spray!). The breakfast was great, plenty of western and Thai foods on offer. As a vegetarian, I ate the vegetarian curries with rice for breakfast. Some of them were absolutely delicious. On a note for other vegetarians – you'll find no problem eating out in Patong. I visited Koh Samui a couple of years back and was fed up of ordering veggie food, only to tuck in and find chicken or seafood…you'll be pleased to know I didn't experience that once. The two hotel pools are perfect. There are plenty of beds and fresh beach towels are provided daily (wish I'd have known before as we packed two each!). The hotel also provides umbrellas in each room, again great for those occasional sudden downpours of rain. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the night we arrived as it was quite late, and a couple of times around the pool. The food can't be faulted, but as expected it's much more expensive than eating out (still cheaper than the UK though). Room service is daily with fresh towels, linen and 4 bottles of water.
