Possible scam
Ok so I booked Superior room based on all photos from all websites. But they give me the room and it is NOT room from photo. They switch the photos Superior room has deluxe photo and Deluxe has superior photos on all websites. So they put me in this room in back corner with view of a wall and people walking up and down past my window. So I call them they say yes wrong photo. But can upgrade for 1000 baht per night. So I paid 3000 for 3 nights for a decent room, that had plumbing problems, toilet only works some times and leaks. Also AC leak and rain also leaks from ceiling. Hotel is in bad condition and they scam you for upgrade. Otherwise good location directly on beach and very close to Bangla. Food was pretty good and free minibar. Book t he superior room or higher.

Hotel on the Beach
The hotel is not a 5-star hotel but good to stay if you want to be near the Bangla Walking Street and the beach. The rooms were clean enough but some areas, such as the bathroom, could use a make over. There were some dings in the tile and in the tub basin. It is right on the beach so it provides a convenience for you to go from beach to room. The pool is centrally located in the hotel, near the bar and lounge. The negatives were: 1) The rooms requested (deluxe balcony) did not live up to expectations and online pictures. There should be a disclaimer that 3-4 rooms (our party had 2 of the rooms) had almost zero visibility to the pool area, which is the direction the balcony faced and should overlook. 2) There is a per person charge per night for additional persons beyond your reservation (we had a coz join last minute). I didn't, and don't, agree with this charge. Hotels should charge per room not per person. This charge is almost equivalent to the cost of a night's stay so you may be better off booking another room than number getting a rollaway bed. Or, just don't add the additional person. Overall, I would recommend a stay here...the stay was not bad but for the two negatives.

This is a great place on the beach and with immediate access to the hustle and bustle of all that Patong has to offer. Still far enough back from the road to get a good nights sleep. The cheap price for accommodation goes with the dated decor and old construction.

OK hotel on the beach
A hotel that is under threat of being closed as there are plans to build a time-share complex on the premisses. Little maintenance have been done in the last years... OK rooms, some with absolutely no view, others with great view. We first got a room that faced a wall, but were able to change to a room (smaller than we had booked, though) with a view of the pool and sea. Breakfast was ok.

Somethings go wrong in Patong
The bell hop was unenthusiastic and seemed to generally hate his job. Understandably so. Because this hotel was run down just like my spirits as soon as entering the room. It sounded like a jet engine was parked outside our room. But don't worry it only started at night when you just about to drift off to sleep. For a beach front hotel the view was an absolute let down. It was of a messed up roof top and four feet away another room. Another let down was the key needing to be in the slot to keep the AC on so when you left the room it heated up to temps hotter than two rats fornicating in a wool sock. The two saving graces about this hotel are, the pool was nice, and the location was great.

Only thing good about this hotel is close to bangla road and beach as well as food or malls. Hotel itself and its amenitiea are very old and dated.

The Real Story
Stayed 4 nights, wished we hadn't. No elevator, pool is tiny and surrounding pool area unattractive and hot. Breakfast was limited and at times had to wait for empty self serve trays to be restocked. Allowed smoking in front area at all times including breakfast, of course the sea breeze always blows it into the general area. This annoyed a lot of people. The whole hotel should be non-smoking. Of course most smokers are inconsiderate and wish to poison themselves and others around before throwing their cigarette butts on the road or footpath or on the beach. So, in summary, the hotel could be so much better, and maybe its patrons, but sadly is not. Position is the only thing going for it but Bann Lamai next door or even the Horizon across the side road would be a better choice if wanting this area.

Perfect location.
From my room I walked down past the pool, sat on the deck with a nice cool beer, watched the magnificant sunset across the bay of Patong. The staff were friendly and obliging. It's the only hotel that you can walk from your room and be right on the beach.

The staff were very good about handling all of our requests, the Happy Hour was great but only an hour. Restaurant was good for any meal but we use it mostly for breakfast and lunch. My room was nicely located where I did not hear the late night noise of the bars and nightclubs

Great location...one of only 3 hotels located on the beach. Staff is fabulous & very attentive. Lovely view with breakfast overlooking the beach. LOVED the Happy Hour every day :-) . Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Great location on the beachfront. Reasonably priced. Big room but balcony faced a wall. Not as noisy as some reviews indicate. But it is on the main road and opp Bangla Rd so take note adjust expectations accordingly. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Highlight was evening fire show on the beach. Thumbs up

There are lot of reviews which mentioned that the hotel was old but for the price and extremely convenient location, definately value-for-money! The only negative was unfortunately you can hear the mice running and making noises along the ceilings of our rooms.

I stayed in Patong Bay Garden Resort for 5 days in March 2016. The location, staff, the pool and the assess to the beach are perfect. I traveled alone and felt safe and secure all the stay. I was able to arrange all my tours with the hotel, and that was really convenient. The hotel is a little out dated, but it had everything that I needed, and the price is great. The hotel had a restaurant that had a ocean view, and served great food. Also, the restaurants around the place are great. Great hotel, great prices. Next time I will definitely get a room with a ocean view.....Love it there

We have got a free update from the hotel staff to seaview room. Fantastic view. Room cleanliness is acceptable, remember to bring insect repellant as there are lots of mosquitoes around at the balcony area. Can't help it as its near e beach. Tooth brushes n tooth paste are not included. Drinks in e mini bar are free. Beach bar is nice with fire show at night. Water sports/games is easily available at along the stretch of the beach. Be prepared to give extra tips. Location is perfect, bangla rd is conveniently just diagonally opp e rd. When exiting from e hotel, on the left there is a decent looking massage place, and followed by macdonalds. On the right exit, there is a pharmacy and family mart. Overall, a pleasant stay.

This resort is located right on the beach.The food is excellent with a great buffet breakfast available.All the staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately the rooms were not the best but ok if your only sleeping in too of a night. This was well compensated with the minibar being restocked each day at no cost😊. Only 1 minutes walk to Bangla Rd. So it is very close to everything

Incredible Location.
The location is incredible. It is right on Patong beach, which there are very few. You can walk to Bangla Road in a couple of minutes but the hotel is still quiet considering all of the action going on around it. The rooms are dated but clean and the price and service are excellent.

A caring hotel
I really enjoyed staying at this proper 3 star hotel. Right in the beach and close to the bustling streets of Patong. But what amazed me is how much they cared to make sure I get the valuables and my passport I left at my rooms safe. The manager found a way to send all my travel money full of wallet and highly necessary passport to Ko Phiphi not even charging anything. I will be back.

Got a great deal for this time of year. Get location next to everything and right on beach. Great sunset bar with attentive staff. Taxi fare charged by hotel expensive at 900bth one way, so if you have time book a car on line.

Amazing 3 star hotel.
What a great place. Absolute value for your money. If you look at the location (best in Phuket), the room size, the breakfast, the staff, etc. you can't beat it. I will recommend anyone to stay here. One warning though. If you are taller than 170cm don't stay in the upper floor rooms. I'm 189cm and couldn't stand up straight in the shower. Yes, sure, one can point out some of the little things. I'm not going to because overall this is a great place. We'll stay there gladly again on our next trip.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room cleaned daily with clean towels. Great location sit on the beach and watch the sun set also close to all of the nightlife. Jet skis, para gliding on the beach next to hotel. Overall well worth a visit.

Great place to stay but really dirty. The location is PERFECT. Hotel is in front of the beach and a couple of blocks from Bangla street, the party place of Thailand. It is the BEST location in Phuket so you will love it. HOWEVER, the hotel is DIRTY. Extremely dirty. Every day I saw at least 5 cockroaches in my room. They are everywhere. The room is old and dirty. If you are picky about it, you should definitely not stay here.

Room was tired. Definitely needed updating. Staff was nice, but language barrier existed. Constantly harangued by on-site tailor, who ultimately couldn't deliver in time. Great proximity to Bangla Road. Property located on beachfront. Beach location was fantastic, however, the beach needed some cleaning, as it was full of cigarette butts, bottle caps, paper litter, etc. Worst part of the stay was the "vacation club" presentation. A rather rough staff of Expat Brits, club didn't measure up to what it was presented as (in pre-sale research), wasted 4 1/2 hours of valuable vacation time sitting in their presentation.

Near Bangla; plenty eat and drink places near; fireworks nice but a bit of noise late. Stephen and staff superb hospitality out back on beach restaurant and bar. Make you feel at home. Hospitable but not intrusive. Very nice.

great hotel for young travelers
Read allot of reviews that were negative about this place but considering it's proximity to bangala road obviously there will be some noise. We were in the rooms that people were complaining were too loud but really didn't find it that bad. The rest of the resort is amazing as far as pool and proximity to beach and all restaurants and amenities. Also read that the ladies at the front desk were unfriendly and I understand why people would say that but if you are friendly and smile at them they are very receptive and lighten up quickly. Very much liked this hotel and would stay again in a heart beat
