This was a good location for us and seemed like a good idea. Following is a list of problems we encountered.
1. The beds are horrible. I even tried to sleep on the couch one night. My mother tried to sleep on the couch the second night. Her bed sagged a good four inches. We have photos. It was terrible.
2. We had to leave and go buy laundry detergent and rewash all of the linens after the first night we slept there. They were super perfumey and all the people complained about the scent and irritation to their skin in the morning. So my husband rewashed everything.
3. There was no cover on the duvet in the bedroom. That means this duvet is not getting washed and no matter what gets on there it's going to be touching you.
4. There were no curtains in one bedroom so rise and shine when the sun comes up no more sleeping.
5. We were greeted with an overflowing recycle can in the driveway which left us no place to put the recyclables. And there were many things to be recycled because the owner is having packages delivered to the house. We brought in packages every day and piled them up.
5.5 There was no ironing board but lo and behold the ironing board was in one of these boxes which we opened, but then we were left with the dilemma of where to put the box. This was odd that the owner never contacted us to tell us that we would be getting deliveries and we just kept bringing them in the house.
5.6 There was no soap in the showers, but again we looked at the outside of the boxes and found one with the name of a body wash. Normally owners contact us and let us know if there are any shortcoming in the house and how they are addressing it.
6. The house was furnished/stocked with basic things that we needed but it was minnimal. It did look like the photos.
We booked this house to get some good nights of sleep in comfortable beds, that did not happen.
I really really wanted to like this house. I can tell the owner is put a lot of thought into this but it is missing the mark. My suggestion is that they try sleeping in the house and see what it's like to sleep in each room and adjust from there.
