I will start with the good... The house is in a great central location. The owner was quick to respond to messages. Now for the bad.... The place was filthy (dirt on the walls and door frames, hair on the rugs, dirty sheets, stains on the pillows and mattresses, which were discovered at the end of our stay, stains all over the pool table). It was also in disrepair (dishwasher trays rusted through, destroyed furniture, stove not fully functional, etc). There are ropes on the primary bedroom bed that had wrist ties. The bathroom door frame was severely damaged and looked like it had been broken into. Some of the doors had repair marks on them from previously being punched and kicked (that's how it appeared). Some of the doors were missing handles. The curtain rods were pulled out of the wall.Less bad.... The TV was broken. The house is actually an eight-bedroom house divided into three rental units. There is no sound buffering in the house, so you can hear the other renters. One night one of the renters was up with his friends till the early morning hours. I communicated all of this to the owner (with pictures) and he refunded 130. Our stay was for four nights, so this was barely a dent in our bill. I would have left and stayed someplace else, but we did not purchase the insurance and had no other place to stay. I would not stay here again nor recommend somebody else stay here.
